Shannon Beador’s Ex John Janssen Demanding HUGE PAYDAY Against ‘RHOC’ Star in Facelift Lawsuit
John Janssen, the ex-boyfriend of Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador, is hitting her with a high-stakes lawsuit, demanding a substantial financial payout over alleged unpaid debts related to a facelift.
In a recent twist in a heated legal battle, Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador’s ex-boyfriend, John Janssen, has vigorously responded to her attempt to dismiss his lawsuit against her.
This development follows Janssen’s allegations that Beador failed to repay loans amounting to $75,000, purportedly borrowed for plastic surgery, according to documents obtained exclusively by In Touch.
The lawsuit details that during their relationship, Janssen, who is now romantically linked to Beador’s co-star Alexis Bellino, provided two substantial sums of money to Beador. Initially, he loaned $40,000 in 2022, purportedly for a facelift, followed by a second loan of $35,000 in early 2023. Janssen claims that despite repeated requests, Beador has not fulfilled her promise to repay these amounts.
In his legal filing, Janssen accuses Beador of promissory fraud and breach of contract, stating that she approached him under false pretenses and never intended to repay the loans. His attorneys have contested Beador’s assertion that the funds were gifts, not loans, and have fought against the dismissal of the claim for promissory fraud as well as the requests for punitive damages and attorney fees.
Beador, 60, expressed her astonishment over the lawsuit’s initiation, maintaining that the money was gifted to her and that she had attempted to resolve the dispute amicably outside of court. “My attorney has been in constant communication with his counsel. I agreed to pay John what he wanted because I knew that attorney’s fees would surpass the amount sought, but more importantly to eliminate the negative emotional components that come with a lawsuit. It is important that I continue to focus on the positive aspects of my life and move forward,” Beador stated, revealing that settlement efforts were thwarted by Janssen’s refusal to agree to a mutual non-disparagement clause.
However, Janssen’s legal team retorted by stressing the calculated nature of Beador’s actions, asserting, “[Shannon] knew when she made her false promises and representations that [Shannon] did not intend to pay for such services. Despite promising to repay both Loans, [Shannon’s] subsequent actions have made clear that [Shannon’s] promises were fabricated, and she never intended to follow through on her promises. For example, in an attempt to avoid her obligations to repay the Loans, [Shannon] now asserts that the Loans were a ‘gift’ from Mr. Janssen, which is completely false.”
The court has yet to decide on the motion to dismiss the fraud claim and the related request for punitive damages. Janssen’s counsel argues that the facts and allegations laid out in the complaint sufficiently demonstrate the malicious intent behind Beador’s representations, thereby justifying their claim for punitive damages.
As this legal drama unfolds, both parties remain embroiled in a dispute that has moved from personal grievances to public courtroom battles, marking another tumultuous chapter in the reality star’s life.
