‘Love Island USA’ Star Leah Kateb Reveals Rob’s Insult Was Her Most Embarrassing Moment Yet!
In a revealing new interview, Love Island USA star Leah Kateb opened up about the most mortifying moment of her reality TV journey — Rob Rausch’s brutal insult, which she now calls her biggest embarrassment.
Leah Kateb, the standout star of Love Island USA Season 6, is setting the record straight on her relationships with Rob Rausch and Miguel Harichi.
In a candid interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast with host Alex Cooper, Leah shared her heartfelt reflections on her time in the villa and her evolving relationships.

Leah, who captured viewers’ hearts throughout the season, admitted that her on-again, off-again romance with Rob left her feeling “so miserable.” In contrast, her relationship with Miguel, who was revealed as the season’s runner-up, has been a breath of fresh air. “He made my time in there what I felt like it was supposed to be the whole time. He made me feel like I was permanently blushing,” Leah gushed about Miguel.
Leah admitted feeling deeply embarrassed by Rob’s remarks about her on Love Island USA, particularly his claim that he felt “no sexual chemistry” between them. However, Rob has denied making these comments.
“Every bad thing I ever thought about myself literally just swarming in my head. I’ve never felt that embarrassed in my life. I felt so unwanted, so gross,” she told host Alex Cooper.
Leah added: “Literally every bad thing I’ve thought about myself was confirmed in that moment.” She started to tear up as she admitted Rob’s words had been “hurtful.”
Reflecting on her relationship with Rob, Leah acknowledged the intense fan interest in their pairing.
“I can understand why people were invested in Rob and I. It felt like we were like twins [who] were each other’s puzzle piece,” she said. “There were so many moments where I was like, ‘Oh, my God, like, they put him in there for me.’ … Everyone in the villa was like, ‘You and Rob are f–king adorable.’”
However, Leah’s time with Rob wasn’t without its struggles. She became emotional when discussing a pivotal moment from the show when Rob expressed that he wasn’t sexually attracted to her.
“I’m very critical about myself. And I think that it just took me, I don’t know, I think it put me in a very bad head space,” Leah revealed through tears. “I wouldn’t have guessed he felt like that. … It was just shocking.”
Despite the heartache, Leah holds no ill will toward Rob. “We are friends. I love Rob. I think he’s a great person,” she said, emphasizing that she cherishes their friendship.
Rob, who was eliminated just days before the season finale, also weighed in on his feelings. In his own “Call Her Daddy” interview earlier this week, he expressed his enduring affection for Leah. “I think after everything, I think we will be amazing friends, and I think I’d rather just focus on that for now,” Rob said. “She’s an amazing person. So f–king funny. I am laughing the whole time I’m with her usually.”
Rob also shared his thoughts on Miguel, expressing support for Leah’s new relationship. “I think Miguel is a great guy,” he added. “I’m happy with where we are as friends.”
Miguel, for his part, addressed the fan speculation and chatter about his relationship with Leah during a post-finale interview with Us Weekly. “I’ve definitely seen a few comments. People are entitled to their opinion. I ain’t gonna hate ’em for it. It is what it is,” Miguel said. “Ship who you ship, but at the end of the day, I’m the one with her. There’s a reason behind it. So whether you like it or not, suck it up!”
The U.K. native also noted that his connection with Leah is distinct from her past with Rob. “It really doesn’t bother me at all. I know where me and Leah are and we’re in a very good place,” Miguel added.
Fans of Love Island USA can catch up with Leah, Miguel, Rob, and the rest of the cast when they reunite for a special hosted by Ariana Madix, set to air on Peacock on August 19.
