Aurora Culpo Calls Bethenny Frankel ‘Petty’ and ‘Bitter’ for Disclosing Details of Her Breakup with Paul Bernon
Aurora Culpo isn’t holding back after Bethenny Frankel publicly disclosed the end of her relationship with Paul Bernon.
She didn’t mince words on Wednesday’s episode of her “Barely Filtered” podcast, asserting she felt compelled to respond to the Real Housewives of New York City alum’s revelations about her personal life.
“PSA guys: It’s not a good look to announce the breakup of your ex-boyfriend with his new girlfriend,” Culpo, 35, shared. “It looks petty, it looks bitter, and it’s not your story to tell, but she did.”
Aurora went on to suggest that Bernon, 45, had ended their relationship partly because she discussed him on her podcast without his explicit request for privacy.
“You gotta let me know that you don’t want to be spoken about at all,” she explained.
“Otherwise, I can’t really help it if you don’t remain anonymous anymore, and I can’t really take responsibility for the way people in your past might feel about the way I talk about my anonymous boyfriend on my podcast,” she claimed.
Detailing the beginnings and developments of their romance, Aurora revealed Paul had initially reached out to collaborate on her podcast after hearing her discuss a past relationship.
Their connection deepened during Zoom meetings, with Culpo describing Bernon as “such a nice guy” and expressing continued admiration despite their split.
“Just because we can’t be together doesn’t mean that I’m mad at him or doesn’t mean that I don’t still think he’s an amazing person. He is,” she emphasized.
Their breakup, Aurora disclosed, came after two months of dating, with her realization that Bernon’s stance on having more children didn’t align with her own future plans, particularly ahead of her sister Olivia Culpo’s wedding.
Bethenny Frankel, meanwhile, had previously discussed the end of her engagement to Paul on her “Just B” podcast, expressing her feelings about seeing him move on.
She believed Aurora had learned from speaking publicly about their new relationship, suggesting it contributed to the relationship’s demise.
“I think by sharing all the details of your new relationship, you’re disrespecting the last relationship,” Frankel, 53, had remarked.
The news of Bethenny and Paul’s split had surfaced in May, but Aurora divulged on her podcast that Bernon had informed her they called off their wedding back in December.
Both women have been candid about their respective experiences and feelings following their relationships with Paul, each navigating the aftermath in their own public forums.
