Lindsay Hubbard Reveals She Doesn’t Care About Carl Radke’s Reaction to Her Pregnancy
Summer House star Lindsay Hubbard is looking ahead with joy, less than a year after her ex-fiancé Carl Radke called off their wedding.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Lindsay, 37, shared her excitement about falling in love with a new partner and announcing her pregnancy on the Fourth of July, with the baby due later this holiday season.
“It’s just so clear to me that the universe had a plan,” Hubbard expressed, reflecting on her journey to happiness. “I feel like my prayers were answered.”
Hubbard, whose pregnancy will unfold on the upcoming season 9 of the Bravo reality show, is choosing to keep her boyfriend, a doctor specializing in biotech investing, out of the public eye.
Despite sharing screen time with Carl in the upcoming season, Lindsay remains focused on her present and future rather than dwelling on the past.
“That relationship is in my past, and I can’t really focus on my past anymore because I’m so focused on my present and my future,” Lindsay emphasized. “And to be honest, his emotions are no longer my responsibility. It’s just not my problem anymore.”
Reflecting on her calm demeanor during the recent Summer House season 8 reunion, Hubbard attributed her composure to knowing about her pregnancy and her determination to prioritize what matters most to her now.
“In the back of my mind, the whole time I was thinking, ‘Let me just get through this, and then I can focus on the important things that matter to me right now’ — which certainly wasn’t all that,” she shared.
Looking ahead to the coming months, Hubbard is eagerly preparing for motherhood, from planning baby showers to decorating the nursery and selecting a name with her partner.
“We’re not telling anyone what we’re having yet, but the second we found out we were like, ‘Okay, let’s talk about names,'” Lindsay revealed. “We already have one in mind, but we’ll see if it sticks as the months go on.”
Grateful for a smooth pregnancy experience so far, Lindsay expressed her excitement about sharing her journey publicly and celebrating with loved ones.
“I’m just excited to actually be able to talk about it publicly now and share in the celebration with our friends,” Hubbard said. “I’m a very ‘scream from the rooftops’ kind of girl. I’m just ready to let it all out now.”
In an Instagram post following her announcement, Hubbard expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of love and support:
