Teresa Giudice and Jeff Lewis Share Tense Exchange on ‘Watch What Happens Live’
On a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, tensions surfaced between Teresa Giudice and Jeff Lewis during the show’s 15th Anniversary Special.
Host Andy Cohen probed whether the two had resolved their differences backstage, leading to an exchange that momentarily disrupted the show’s flow.
“Jeff, did you and Teresa squash your beef backstage?” Andy inquired.
Jeff, 54, optimistically responded, “We’re good, right?” signaling an attempt at reconciliation. Teresa, however, clarified the situation from her perspective. “Well, he was saying sorry to me because he said something,” the Real Housewives of New Jersey star explained, adding directly to Lewis, “But it’s like, if you didn’t mean it, I don’t know why you said it.”
Jeff confirmed he meant his apology, which initially seemed to confuse Giudice.
Oh, you did mean … Oh, oh, you meant saying sorry to me?” she questioned, urging Lewis to explain his apology to the audience.
This prompted an awkward moment as Lewis looked to Cohen, seemingly caught off guard by the direct question.
Cohen interjected with a quick “Sorry,” trying to steer the conversation back on track, while Sonja Morgan, former Real Housewives of New York City star, lightened the mood with a jest suggesting Jeff should “get on your knees,” which drew laughter from Giudice.
Lewis then reiterated his regret, stating, “I apologize. I was wrong, and I apologized. I’m not dissing her.”
The background of their spat wasn’t fully disclosed, but it surfaced after Jeff commented on Teresa’s ongoing feud with her sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga, on the “Two Ts In a Pod” podcast.
Discussing whom he’d prefer to stay on the show, Lewis said, “I think I’d probably let Teresa go,” to which podcast co-host Teddi Mellencamp responded, “Good luck to you on social media.”
Giudice and Gorga’s feud has significantly impacted the dynamics of RHONJ, culminating in their refusal to film together for the ongoing season.
Gorga revealed on her “On Display” podcast, “We don’t even speak to each other. It’s a very, very different season.”
Amid these strained relationships, Andy revealed that the season would deviate from tradition by not having a regular reunion, stating on SiriusXM’s Reality Checked, “Right now, we’re just kind of focusing on, OK, well if we’re not doing a conventional reunion, what are we doing and what is something different that we could do?”
This statement highlights the ongoing adjustments the show must make in response to the evolving dynamics within the cast.
