A recent revelation has rocked the casting world of Peacock’s reality competition show The Traitors, as a rumor concerning Summer House star Lindsay Hubbard has come to light, impacting the show’s lineup.
In June 2024, It was reported that the inclusion of a diverse group of celebrities from the Bravo network for the third season of The Traitors, including VPR villain Tom Sandoval, Real Housewives alums and current, Dorinda Medley, Robyn Dixon, Dolores Catania, Chanel Ayan, and Summer House star Ciara Miller.
However, a tantalizing tip from an anonymous source to the gossip site Deux Moi suggested that Lindsay was actually the producers’ first pick before they opted for Ciara.
According to the source, Hubbard’s participation was scrapped due to a secret the producers unearthed.
The gossip, cleverly coded as “Pastrami on Rye,” involved a “bubbly Bravo star” whose attempt to conceal a little secret was blown wide open by a “Bravo dame,” leading to the star’s replacement by someone she previously lived and shared a romantic partner with, per the tip.
This “Bravo dame” was identified as Dorinda Medley, with the secretive “bubbly Bravo star” being Lindsay Hubbard, known for her catchphrase, “How many sandwiches have you made for me?”
Meanwhile, the person who took her place, believed to have also had a past with Southern Charm star Austen Kroll, is Ciara Miller.
A further twist in the tale came with the claim that Hubbard’s pregnancy was the reason behind her removal, under the pretext of liability concerns.
This was particularly controversial as another cast member had allegedly been removed for similar reasons, which some found to be a double standard.
On July 4, amidst these swirling rumors, Lindsay confirmed her pregnancy on Instagram with a jubilant post showing her holding a positive Clearblue pregnancy test.
“Trigger Warning: This post contains more fireworks than the 4th of July! WE’RE PREGNANT!!!!!” Hubbard excitedly shared.
She expressed her belief in a greater universal plan and noted how the test made proceeding with her pregnancy much easier.
While she did not disclose the identity of the father, she mentioned, “My boyfriend and I are beyond excited to welcome our little #HubbCub this Holiday season 2024!!”
This news coincided with Lindsay reacting to an Instagram post that highlighted Dorinda Medley’s role in revealing her secret and her subsequent exclusion from “The Traitors.”
“This was awful! Super disappointing and sad,” Hubbard commented under the post, expressing her disappointment and sadness over the situation.
