Lisa Vanderpump Expresses Heartbreak Over Father’s Passing: ‘Rest In Peace’
Lisa Vanderpump, star of Vanderpump Rules, is grieving the loss of her father, John Vanderpump.
The 63-year-old reality TV personality shared the heartbreaking news on her Instagram on Wednesday, accompanied by a photo of herself and her father enjoying the outdoors together.
“I will miss you daddy …Broken-hearted,” she wrote. “Rest in peace.🙏💗”
In the image, Lisa and her father are seen walking on a lush green pathway.
Lisa is elegantly dressed in a white button-up shirt, black slacks, a long coat, and a Chanel purse, while her father wears a checkered top and navy blue pants. Both are smiling brightly for the camera.
This isn’t the first time Lisa has shared a photo with her father on social media.
She previously posted the same picture in October 2022 during a visit to her family in the United Kingdom, expressing how wonderful it was to spend time with him there.
Lisa’s nephew, Sam Vanderpump, also paid tribute to his grandfather by reposting Lisa’s announcement on his Instagram Story alongside a photo of himself with John Vanderpump.
The exact age of John at the time of his passing and the last time he saw Lisa remain unspecified.
Upon hearing the news, several Bravo stars extended their condolences to Lisa in the comments section.
James Kennedy from VPR wrote, “So sorry Lisa sending my condolences and love♥️,” echoed by Scheana Shay who added, “So sorry for your loss Lisa. Sending you lots of love 🙏🏻.”
Garcelle Beauvais, Lisa’s good friend and is on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, also expressed her sympathy, writing, “So sorry Lisa 😘.”
John Vanderpump, who worked as an art director for an advertising agency, shared Lisa with his late wife, Jean, who passed away in June 2019 at the age of 84.
Lisa had previously faced profound grief with the loss of her brother, Mark Vanderpump, who tragically died from a drug overdose at the age of 59, just one year before their mother’s passing.
“As you go to RIP with Mark, mummy. A tragic year for sure. I thank all of you for your beautiful messages and words of kindness. Life is so fragile and I have no time for negativity,” Vanderpump wrote on her social media at the time of her mother’s passing.
