Rachel Leviss Struggles with Long-Term Commitment Amid Tom Sandoval Affair
Rachel “Raquel” Leviss is embarking on a new chapter in her dating life.
In the latest episode of her podcast, Rachel Goes Rogue, the former Vanderpump Rules star, 29, opened up about her recent experiences and what she’s seeking in future relationships.
Following a tumultuous affair with ex-co-star Tom Sandoval last year, Rachel revealed she took a hiatus from dating to focus on personal growth.
“I’ve taken a year off of dating to work on myself,” Leviss shared candidly.
“And now that I’m, you know, getting back out there and meeting new people – I met someone who I had awesome communication with, and he was very emotionally intelligent and emotionally regulated, and it just didn’t work out.”
Discussing a recent relationship, Rachel hinted at her involvement with businessman Matthew Dunn, whom she confirmed dating earlier this year.
“I’ve kind of been seeing somebody else and it’s been fun and a fling — he’s just so sweet, so kind, and it really does make a difference,” she noted.
The discussion with Love Undercover’s Renee Ash touched on the significance of kindness in relationships, particularly for Leviss, who admitted her struggle to envision a future with genuinely good-natured men due to past toxic experiences.
“It’s hard for me to be with a sweet guy and think of it as a serious long term thing,” Rachel explained. “Like, I don’t see him as my husband.”
Reflecting on their shared experiences, Ash emphasized the importance of normalizing kindness from partners.
“I think we need to experience that sweetness and that other side of the spectrum in order to find a good balance,” Leviss added.
After a challenging period post her relationship with Sandoval, Rachel prioritized her mental health and underwent treatment at The Meadows rehabilitation center in Arizona.
Since then, she has been vocal about her journey and has chosen not to return to Vanderpump Rules.
In April, PEOPLE confirmed Leviss‘ burgeoning romance with Matthew, clarifying that they were taking their time to get to know each other without rushing into labels. Rachel even shared a playful ATV ride with Dunn on social media, captioning the moment, “More of this, please 🫶🏼🌵✨.”
As Leviss continues to explore new relationships and focus on her well-being, she remains optimistic about what the future holds.
