Rachel Leviss Explains How She Found God in Rehab!
Rachel Leviss is embarking on a transformative journey of healing and spirituality, as revealed in the latest episode of her podcast, Rachel Goes Rogue.
The former Vanderpump Rules star opened up about her time in rehab, where she sought treatment for mental health and trauma therapy, and discussed her newfound embrace of spirituality, including exploring different religious practices.
Reflecting on her experience at The Meadows rehab facility in California, Rachel shared:
“One of the things that I discovered very early on once I checked myself into The Meadows was this spirituality component that they were bringing into the therapy model.”
Prior to rehab, Rachel admitted she lacked a connection with a higher power, often placing undue reliance on others, particularly men, for answers.
“That is how I got so lost in my codependency. So right off the bat, I was like, OK, spirituality, interesting,” Rachel reflected candidly on her podcast.
During her recovery journey, Rachel found solace and guidance through spiritual practices, including attending church services regularly. She even explored attending a Mormon church, guided by a friend. “Since then, I have been integrating that spirituality into my everyday life, going to church on Sundays,” she shared.
Explaining the significance of spirituality in her healing process, Rachel expressed, “I have found a spiritual community out here now, and it just makes a world of a difference because these people are looking to something bigger than themselves.”
Beyond her spiritual awakening, Rachel has also made personal changes, including her desire to go by the nickname “Rocky” instead of “Raquel,” a name she associated with past insecurities and social anxieties.
“The name Raquel came out of a place where I felt like I wasn’t worthy and I wanted to be something that I wasn’t,” she explained on a previous podcast episode.
In her latest podcast episode, Rachel also shared a poignant assignment from rehab involving a “shame backpack,” where she wrote down hurtful comments and insults directed at her.
“It was very, very heavy. And I was assigned to wear that backpack everywhere that I went for that week,” she recounted.
The exercise helped her confront and release the negativity she had been carrying.
Reflecting on her personal growth, Rachel revealed how the rehab experience brought unexpected reminders of her past into focus, including a newspaper headline about her involvement with Tom Sandoval during his relationship with Ariana Madix.
“It was kinda surreal that this came into my possession that week of my assignment,” Rachel recalled, emphasizing the importance of not internalizing negative perceptions.
Today, Rachel Leviss is focusing on her healing journey and new beginnings, including spending time with businessman Matthew Dunn. While their relationship is still in its early stages, Rachel has shared moments of joy and adventure with her social media followers, signaling a positive outlook on life post-rehab.
As Rachel continues to share her journey of healing and self-discovery, fans can follow her story and insights on Rachel Goes Rogue, where she explores themes of resilience, spirituality, and personal growth with honesty and vulnerability.
