Danielle Olivera Quits ‘Summer House’ After 7 Seasons!

Danielle Olivera is bidding farewell to Summer House after seven years, announcing her departure ahead of Season 9 with heartfelt reflections and gratitude.

In a statement shared on Instagram Tuesday, Danielle, 35, expressed her decision to step away from the Bravo reality series, emphasizing the weight of her choice after much deliberation.

“I wanted to share that I’ve come to the heartbreaking decision to not return as a full-time cast member on the upcoming season of Summer House,” Olivera conveyed.

She stressed the importance of trusting her instincts, stating, “If I can’t put 100% of myself into filming, genuinely and authentically, it really doesn’t feel right doing it in a full-time capacity.”

Acknowledging her commitment to authenticity and integrity in her work, Danielle underscored her need to prioritize her company, Donne fashion app, and personal well-being. She expressed gratitude towards NBCUniversal, Bravo, and Truly Original for their understanding and support of her decision.

Danielle first joined Summer House as a full-time cast member in Season 2, which debuted in January 2018. Throughout her tenure, she also took a step back during Season 4, opting for a part-time role, a decision she noted positively impacted her experience.

Reflecting on her journey, which included appearances on Winter House, Olivera hinted at potential future involvements with the show, assuring fans, “However I’m involved this summer, you can bet I’ll be rooting for another incredible season from my Summer House fam.”

The announcement comes after a pivotal Season 8 for Danielle, where she navigated personal and professional challenges, including reconciling with her best friend Lindsay Hubbard following a significant falling out during Season 7. Their renewed bond coincided with Lindsay’s engagement to Carl Radke, with whom Olivera had a past relationship.

In a previous interview with Page Six in March, Olivera candidly discussed the complexities of their dynamic, revealing doubts about sharing a weekend house with Carl for filming.

“We might need some time. Yeah, we need a lot of time,” she remarked, reflecting on their evolving relationships and the unpredictability of reality television dynamics.

Fans expressed satisfaction with her departure, with some describing her as a ‘pick me’ and stating that she needed to leave for some time.
