Teddi Mellencamp SLAMS Denise Richards’ New Reality Show, Claims She Is ‘Irritated’
Teddi Mellencamp, former star of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has made it clear she’s not enthusiastic about Denise Richards’ new reality show on E!.
Denise recently announced the upcoming series, expressing her excitement about returning to the network.
“My family and I are thrilled to return home to E! Sami and Lola were just three and four years old when we first shared our story, and now we’ve come full circle,” Denise said.
“I loved doing that show. This is the perfect partnership for our family’s series as our lives are full of fun, love, and unpredictability, and we can’t wait for the audience to share this adventure with us.” Denise stated.
On her podcast, “Two Ts In A Pod,” Teddi questioned Denise’s motivations for joining reality TV again.
When co-host Tamra suggested Teddi might be “jealous,” Teddi was quick to clarify, “I’m irritated.” She explained her frustration, recalling Denise’s reluctance to discuss personal matters on RHOBH.
“This is where my issue lies with all of this Denise Richards stuff. The major fight with Denise on my last season was Denise never wanted to talk about threesomes or the kids. Or anything. ‘We’re off limits, blah, blah, blah,’” Teddi said.
For those who might not remember, Denise faced rumors of an affair with Brandi Glanville during Season 10 and even tried to halt production by exclaiming, “Bravo, Bravo, f*cking Bravo.”
Despite her irritation, Teddi expressed some support for Denise’s new show by the end of the podcast segment.
Teddi and Denise have a history of public squabbles, both on-screen and on social media.
In 2020, after an episode of RHOBH, Teddi shared a screenshot of a humorous conversation with her father, John Mellencamp, poking fun at Denise.
In the exchange, John joked:
“I know you’re busy living in my shadow but…” alongside a photo captioned, “Dennis Richards … never heard of him.” Teddi responded by correcting her dad, calling Denise “the girl who mentions Charlie Sheen every episode.”
Denise responded on Instagram, criticizing Teddi’s post:
“Grown ass woman stooping to that level… sorry…🤣 I never said you live in your dad’s shadow. Ever. I don’t care what you were told….”
She also addressed Teddi’s involvement in spreading rumors about her alleged affair, adding:
“I was hurt you felt the need to share a salacious untrue rumor about my marriage, especially given you are the daughter of a famous father & know what the potential impact could’ve been with my kids & family. That is all I have ever said about your family. 💕Aka(Dennis).”
Teddi fired back in the comments:
“You’re Denise F–king Richards but you sure can’t take a joke. But since we are doing this, you brought Brandi back in by sharing personal information with her. Not me. You also confirmed you said way worse things about me than living in my Dad’s shadow. Enough with this victim routine Denise.”
Addressing the “shadow” comment in an Instagram Q&A, Teddi explained:
“It’s a common thing for people to try to use who my dad is against me and the truth of the matter is, anybody who knows me knows how incredibly hard I’ve worked my entire life. But also, like, I’m proud of my dad and I love him.”
