Kenya Moore Plays Victim After Getting FIRED and Appeals to The BLACK Community for Sympathy: ‘I’m A Single Mom’
In the wake of her dismissal from The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kenya Moore appeals to the Black community, portraying herself as a victim and emphasizing her role as a single mom.
Real Housewives of Atlanta diva Kenya Moore, 53, spoke out amid reports she’s been fired after displaying pornographic images at the launch of her Atlanta based hair spa.
On Friday, June 14, Kenya Moore took to Instagram Live, where 10k fans eagerly tuned in to hear the former Miss USA address ongoing reports of her indefinite suspension. Instead, she utilized the platform to portray herself as a victim and called upon her followers to rally behind her as a, “single mom,” who is “not getting child support.”
Kenya adeptly tugged at the heartstrings of her supporters with a poignant appeal to show her grace as she navigates life as a single mom — she stated, “I’m a single mom. I’m out here just like anybody else. I am NOT getting child support. I’m not getting anything. I’m taking care of my daughter on my own and, I know a lot of you understand.”
Kenya also emphasized the financial strain and struggles of building and launching her salon.
“I’m an entrepreneur, so all my endeavors I invest my money is always going to be by myself but this salon has damn near broken the bank. I just never knew it could be this big on this scale.” Kenya Moore stated on her June 14 IG Live.
Kenya subtly sent a dog whistle to her loyal followers by claiming bloggers/haters schedule fake appointments that negatively impacts her business.
“It’s disheartening when you see people go out of their way to try to ruin your business. I’ve even had people on Google and doing Google reviews saying crazy stuff on Google reviews.” Kenya told her audience.
Expressing frustration with those attempting to undermine her business, Kenya emphasized the importance of support and solidarity among entrepreneurs, particularly within the Black community.
“I just want people to stop trying to tear down another black woman’s business, like it’s not that serious…. you know. I think that, I I don’t bother people unless they bother me.” Kenya added, “I’m over here trying to feed my family of two. I have a lot of responsibilities and I just don’t need people going out of their way to to disparage my good name.”
Kenya reinforced to her audience once more that she is a single mom, “So at the end of the day I’m just like you I am completely a single mom trying to take care of my child.”
During the IG Live, the former Miss USA revealed that she’s still married to ex, Marc Daly.
“I’m not getting support from my soon-to-be ex-husband because we’re not divorced yet, so again just ride with me through this journey. I know a lot of entrepreneurs have the same journey of putting themselves [and] their money on the line and not even knowing if it’s gonna work out” Kenya told 10k people viewing her Instagram live stream.
However, back in December 2023, Kenya told PEOPLE that her divorce was finalized.
“After more than three years of litigation, I have finally been granted a divorce,” Kenya told PEOPLE in an exclusive statement. “I’m excited for this next chapter in my life and being the best mom I can be for my daughter, Brooklyn.”
Kenya Moore included a cryptic message without directly addressing the revenge p*rn allegations — reassuring her fans:
“You will be seeing me. I’m not going anywhere despite all this stuff.”
As reported, during Bravo’s filming on June 6, Kenya Moore displayed explicit posters at the opening of her Kenya Moore Hair Spa, featuring new Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member, Brittany Eady. The identity of the other person in the depicted act remains unknown, and Brittany was not present at the spa opening during the poster unveiling.
Allegations surfaced that Kenya unveiled the posters following claims that Brittany had threatened her with a firearm. However, a production insider refuted these allegations.
Consequently, Kenya Moore has been indefinitely suspended from filming The Real Housewives of Atlanta as a result of the spa incident.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 is currently in production.
