Ariana Madix’s Hosting Debut on ‘Love Island Sparks Drama as ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Stars SHADE Her Success!

Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix steps into the hosting arena with her debut on Love Island, however, while some of her Vanderpump Rules co-stars enthusiastically cheered on her career milestone, a conspicuous silence lingered from others.

On Tuesday, the 38-year-old Bravo personality shared an Instagram post showcasing her stunning premiere episode outfit while promoting the release of Love Island Season 6.

“To follow in the slo-mo footsteps of such iconic women to host my favorite show is beyond an honor,” Ariana captioned her post. “Thank you for welcoming me to the love island family! @loveislandusa season 6 premieres NOW on @peacock!!”

Ariana dazzled in a form-fitting gold dress that highlighted her warm blond hair, looking every bit the “golden goddess.”

The Di Petsa dress, featuring a plunging neckline and cut-outs, accentuated her defined abs and long legs. She completed the look with full-glam makeup and accessorized with gold and silver jewelry by Simon G.

In the comment section, Ariana’s Vanderpump Rules co-stars and alums were quick to show their support.

Katie Maloney, 37, exclaimed, “I’m not well!!!” followed by heart-eyes and fire emojis. Charli Burnett, 27, added, “Holy s**ttt,” accompanied by fire emojis.

James Kennedy, 32, shared his excitement with “Here we gooooo!!” while Kristen Doute, 41, joked, “I wanna be on you. I mean, hi gorgeous.”

Scheana Shay, 39, dubbed her a “Golden Goddess,” and Dayna Kathan, 33, humorously noted, “Sorry there was a lag between my like and comment. I passed out. MY GOD [fire emojis].”

However, one notable absence was Ariana’s former friend, Lala Kent, 33. During a recent reunion episode, Ariana and Lala had a heated exchange regarding Ariana’s behavior during the Season 11 finale, where she walked away from a conversation with Tom.

Kent criticized Madix’s actions, suggesting she owed Sandoval a conversation despite the cheating scandal.

“She now thinks she is Beyoncé. It’s bulls**t that she can’t film with someone because she stays under the same roof. It’s a lot… I never in my life experienced someone who gets cheated on and suddenly she becomes God,” Lala vented to Scheana during the finale.

The tension was palpable at the reunion, with Lala expressing her frustration and Ariana quietly sobbing.

“I was livid that night. Livid. And I’m sorry if I hurt you, but I stand by what I said,” Lala stated.

Lisa Vanderpump, 63, questioned Lala’s feelings of betrayal, to which Lala responded, “It was difficult, because I understood where Ariana was coming from. But I was like, ‘Why does she get to dictate how this goes down when I’ve never gotten to dictate?’”

Host Andy Cohen, 55, asked Ariana for her response.

Through tears, Ariana stated, “Umm…I don’t think I’m Beyoncé, I don’t think I’m God,” adding, “Talking about sobbing on a regular basis, yeah I don’t do it in front of Scheana. I do it on my own. And, arguably, if you wanna talk in ‘show terms,’ me walking away from that conversation was a lot more interesting than me sitting there and having it. Was that not a better ending to your season, to give you another season for another paycheck?”

Ariana replaces former hosts, Sarah Hyland and Arielle Vandenberg, for Love Island USA.

She announced her new role in March while performing as Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway. Filming herself from a theater, Ariana revealed, “Talk about a bombshell. This summer I am trading rhinestone buckles for bikinis. I’m hosting the next season of Love Island USA streaming this summer on Peacock. I can’t wait to stir up some trouble in paradise,” she concluded with a smile.
