Kim Zolciak Ordered to Pay Target Bill Amid Financial Issues!
Kim Zolciak has been ordered to pay off a $2,482.24 Target bill amid her ongoing financial struggles and divorce from Kroy Biermann.
According to court documents obtained by Page Six, a Georgia judge ruled in favor of Target National Bank, which claimed that the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star had “failed, neglected, and refused” to settle her credit card debt.
The ruling, issued in March, also mandates that Zolciak cover $131.14 in legal fees. Kim did not respond to the complaint, leading the judge to side with Target National Bank.
The reality TV star had opened her Target credit card in December 2007 but made her last payment of $500 in September 2022, according to the documents.
However, the Target bill is just one aspect of Kim’s mounting financial troubles. In March 2023, TMZ reported that Zolciak and Kroy owe over $1 million in taxes to the IRS, including unpaid interests and penalties dating back to 2013.
Amid their financial woes, the couple’s $4.5 million mansion in Georgia is also at risk of foreclosure for the second time.
In April, their bank lender, Truist, issued a warning, giving them until May 3 to contest the foreclosure in court or face a non-judicial foreclosure proceeding. Kim and Biermann, 38, promptly requested the judge to delay the foreclosure date.
Desperation to sell their mansion has been evident since they listed it for $6 million in October 2023. Due to a lack of interest, they have repeatedly slashed the asking price. Earlier, in February 2023, the couple faced foreclosure after allegedly missing or halting payments on a $1.65 million loan taken out in 2016. They managed to resolve that issue just before their home was set to be auctioned off.
In attempts to manage their financial crisis, Kim has resorted to extreme measures, including selling her skincare brand and listing her designer wardrobe for sale online. Kroy, who has his own financial issues, has previously accused Zolciak of having a gambling problem that significantly contributed to their financial downfall.
He alleged that her addiction led to “spending substantial time and marital funds on gambling and other games of chance.”
These accusations were part of the couple’s initial divorce filings in May 2023, where Biermann claimed Zolciak’s gambling was so severe that it impeded her ability to care for their children: Kroy, 13, Kash, 11, and 10-year-old twins Kaia and Kane. Kim also has two older daughters, Brielle Biermann, 27, and Ariana Biermann, 22, from previous relationships.
In a recent emotional 911 call, Kim Zolciak tearfully claimed that her husband, Kroy Biermann, had taken her phone and locked himself in the primary bedroom.
