‘RHONJ’ Star Teresa Giudice Speaks Out on Reunion Being Cancelled: ‘It’s Too Bad’

Teresa Giudice had big plans for the now-canceled Real Housewives of New Jersey season 14 reunion.

During her appearance on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” on Sunday, June 9, the reality star opened up about her strategy for the reunion that never happened, specifically regarding her feud with Rachel Fuda and her husband, John Fuda.

“It’s too bad we aren’t having a reunion because I was going to bring an envelope and I was going to take something out of the envelope,” Teresa shared.

This was a nod to a memorable moment from the season 13 reunion when John Fuda presented an envelope with alleged proof that Teresa’s husband, Luis Ruelas, had been investigating his family, though he never revealed its contents.

“I was going to bring it tonight, but I want to make sure we have a reunion,” Giudice added, with WWHL host Andy Cohen hinting, “Maybe we’ll have you back before the end of the season.”

Earlier this month, PEOPLE reported that there would not be a traditional RHONJ reunion this season, marking the first time in the show’s history and only the second time in the Real Housewives franchise history that a reunion has been scrapped.

Executive producer Andy explained that the network made this decision after viewing the season finale, which he described on WWHL as “kind of like the reunion and the finale all in one.”

Teresa concurred, saying, “Pretty much everything I had to say, everyone’s going to see it this season. So everyone’s going to have to tune in and watch.”

This season of RHONJ has been fraught with tension, seeing longstanding rifts drive Teresa, the Fudas, and other cast members Melissa Gorga, Dolores Catania, Margaret Josephs, Jennifer Aydin, Danielle Cabral, Jackie Goldschneider, and Jenn Fessler further apart.

An insider told PEOPLE, “A reunion is meant to have resolution and it’s clear in the season finale that there is no path forward in that type of setting. So the network is figuring out a different concept to wrap up the season.”

In addition, ratings were extremely low.

While the exact format for wrapping up the season remains unclear, Teresa’s WWHL appearance made it evident that she is not finished addressing her issues with Rachel and John Fuda.

“He accused my husband of reaching out to my ex that was in jail and why would he do that?” Giudice questioned. “They threw the first punch, so I’m going to finish the fight. Trust me.”

With the cancellation of the reunion, fans will have to rely on the season finale to see the culmination of the drama that has defined this season of RHONJ.

Giudice’s revelations on WWHL promise that the upcoming episodes will be filled with the confrontations and resolutions typically reserved for the reunion stage.
