RECAP: ’90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?’ Angela Deem Claims Michael’s a Ringleader of an Immigration Scam!
On Sunday’s episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, Angela Deem, uncovered some shocking details about Michael Ilesanmi.
Angela Deem has always had doubts about Michael’s intentions due to their significant 22-year age difference and his past infidelities. This episode brought the most damning evidence yet, revealing that Michael might have been involved in a scam targeting older American women. Angela found out that Michael was the ringleader of a group chat called “Paradise Men,” aimed at Nigerian men looking to marry older American women.
Angela Deem has been in Nigeria trying to secure Michael’s visa for years. However, she discovered he had been hiding large sums of money.
Michael explained to the cameras:
“Explaining this to Angela, she would not understand it all. I don’t want to waste my time, please. You don’t even know how the exchange rate is and all that. You don’t know much about my currency.”
Angela, however, was furious and insisted he explain everything to her. She checked his phone and found the incriminating group chat.
“That looks like they’re scamming people from the U.S. for women in a men’s paradise for visas,” she told the cameras. “What the f**k? Right now I feel like he knows when that visa is coming. He wants me to go home so he can get his opportunity to go to the U.S. without me.”
Michael tried to defend himself, claiming the group chat was for sharing information about the visa process. Angela, enraged, threw her drink in his face. She later discovered that the chat included over 100 people and involved discussions about life insurance and charging fees.
“Is this b**ch planning on killing me?” she asked the producers in disbelief.
The situation escalated when she found out Michael had shared her tax returns in the chat.
“They know my personal business!” she yelled. “Do you understand what he’s done? They can scam me for everything! He gave a random person my s**t!”
Angela declared her intention to have a third party investigate Michael, stating, “When it comes a time when you love somebody, stop being blind. This is that point.”
The preview for next week’s episode shows Angela confronting Michael after speaking to her immigration lawyer, threatening to report him to the federal government. The confrontation becomes physical when Michael tries to grab his phone from her, leading to a producer stepping in. “Give me my phone,” Michael demands, while Angela screams back, “No, it’s mine!”
