Brittany Cartwright Claims She and Lala Kent Were ‘Fine’ When Lala Brought Up Nanny Feud at the Reunion!
Brittany Cartwright recently expressed her surprise at Lala Kent bringing up their nanny feud during the Vanderpump Rules reunion.
The reality star, 35, who faced fat-shaming from her estranged husband Jax Taylor on the season finale of The Valley, discussed the incident on the “Reality Hits” podcast she co-hosts with Jax.
Brittany admitted she was caught off guard by Lala’s remarks. “I’m just gonna say this short and sweet because I didn’t know that she was gonna talk about that on the reunion,” Brittany said.
“I was kind of taken back by that because at that point, she had already apologized to me, [and] I had already apologized to her. So, we were completely fine, everything was good so I was kinda thrown. Like, ‘Why is this being talked about at the reunion?’”
Despite her confusion, Brittany maintained her affection for Lala. “I didn’t really understand and I still don’t really understand that part, but I do love Lala,” she added.
During the last episode of the three-part reunion, Kent, 33, who is expecting her second child, claimed that Cartwright had “acted so out of pocket” on the day of her gender reveal. Lala was outraged, saying:
“Do not text my mother the day that I find out that we’re having a baby girl and say, ‘Did you really hire our nanny without our permission?’”
Lala continued, “First of all, you’re in Kentucky with Cruz,” referring to the three-year-old son Cartwright shares with Taylor.
“And she said, ‘I have Jax yelling at me.’ And I said, ‘Well, then you need to have Jax call me so I can eat him alive instead.’”
Lala clarified that there was a misunderstanding regarding the terms “babysitter” and “nanny,” and she had not tried to hire the nanny away from Brittany, but simply wanted her to babysit.
In the aftermath of the reunion, Kent participated in an Amazon Live session and responded, “TBD. I like that answer,” when asked by a fan if she and Brittany were still feuding.
Cartwright acknowledged her part in the drama, admitting it was a “mistake” to send the text on the day of Lala’s gender reveal.
“I would never be rude or mean to anybody, let me make that very clear,” she explained. “My mistake was writing the message on that day, I shouldn’t have done that. I apologized immediately for that.”
She further explained her concerns about the nanny situation. “It took us a long time to find somebody that we trusted with Cruz. He needs certain people that are constant in his life,” Brittany said.
“We literally only have me, Jax, and our nanny here. That’s why it was important to me. It’s not because of any other thing. If I would’ve known or asked, I would’ve been like, ‘Yes, of course, go for it. Use her for the day!’ It was just more of the shock value.”
Brittany admitted that she and Jax were already in a difficult place, which contributed to her reaction. “Me and Jax were already in such a bad place, so I just kind of wrote a message on a day that I shouldn’t have. But we had already apologized to each other and gotten over it since then.”
Meanwhile, Lala appears to be enjoying her pregnancy as she awaits the arrival of her new daughter.
She recently posted a series of photos on social media, showcasing her growing baby bump and sharing sweet moments with her three-year-old daughter, Ocean. Lala, who shares Ocean with former fiancé Randall Emmett, 53, used a sperm donor to conceive her second child.
Vanderpump Rules is on pause for season 12.
