Kathy Hilton Talks Navigating Conflicts With Kyle Richards While Filming ‘RHOBH’
Kathy Hilton is ensuring a smooth ride alongside her sister Kyle Richards as they dive into another season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills together for Season 14.
During a candid discussion on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, Kathy, 65, revealed her approach to navigating any potential conflicts while filming with sister, Kyle Richards.
“I’m on my Ps and Qs,” she declared. “I’m happy to be in the middle and hear your side, hear [their side] and help out,” she explained, discussing her decision to take on a “moderator” role as a “friend of” the cast for Season 14.
“If she needs me, I will [step in],” Kathy added, highlighting her readiness to support Richards when necessary.
Returning to the popular Bravo series after a hiatus, Kathy Hilton stressed the importance of honesty in her interactions with Kyle, 55, particularly when addressing any conflicts that may arise during filming.
“I don’t want to see anybody drive anybody off a cliff. That’s not cool,” she expressed, underscoring the significance of open communication. “Look, nobody’s life is perfect, everybody goes through something and it makes us stronger.”
Following their rift on RHOBH Season 12, Kathy and Kyle patched things up in the summer of 2023 at a wedding.
Kathy felt unsupported by Kyle during a tense onscreen confrontation with then-co-star Lisa Rinna — a chapter they have since moved past. Shortly after their reconciliation, Kyle announced her separation from now-estranged husband Mauricio Umansky in July.
Throughout Kyle’s emotional journey during her split from the real estate mogul, 53, Kathy has been a source of unwavering support, fostering a bond stronger than ever before.
While excited to be back filming alongside Kyle, Kathy is also relishing her time with friends Sutton Stracke and Garcelle Beauvais, as well as forming a connection with newcomer Bozoma “Boz” St. John, whom she admires as a “boss girl” and “serious businesswoman.”
Reflecting on Boz’s initial jitters, Kathy shared an amusing anecdote, revealing, “She was like, ‘I was just in the bathroom and I was looking for a window to try and escape!’ And so we all laughed. But I think it’s a fun experience for her.”
Additionally, Kathy disclosed that she and former foe, Erika Jayne, have resolved their issues and are now in a “very good” place.
“She has really evolved,” the socialite commended the Pretty Mess singer, 52, also complimenting her impressive physique. “Erika’s in great shape. I mean, those legs! She looks beautiful.”
Amid Ozempic rumors, Erika Jayne addressed this on the show by informing the ladies that she shed weight as a result of taking “hormones” for menopausal symptoms.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14 features Kyle Richards, Sutton Stracke, Garcelle Beauvais, Bozoma St. John, Erika Jayne, and Dorit Kemsley, with Kathy and actress Jennifer Tilly as “friends of” the cast. The show, currently in production, awaits an official premiere date from Bravo.
