Lala Kent BLASTS ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Fans Claiming She Had NO Storyline in Season 11!
In a candid discussion on her Give Them Lala podcast, Lala Kent delved into the complexities of Vanderpump Rules Season 11, addressing tough fan inquiries and shedding light on the hurdles faced by the cast amidst tumultuous personal dynamics.
Reflecting on the season, Lala, 33, acknowledged the difficulties faced by the cast in maintaining cohesive storylines amidst the fallout from Tom Sandoval’s highly publicized affair with Rachel “Raquel” Leviss.
“This season was extremely difficult. None of us were really able to have a storyline,” Lala disclosed on the latest episode of her podcast. “We had to talk about [Scandoval]. It wasn’t even a divide in the group. This had demolished the group.”
The repercussions of Sandoval’s actions reverberated throughout the cast, overshadowing individual narratives and causing a ripple effect in the group dynamics.
“I don’t even know how to answer that question because so many times there were a lot of us who tried to push past talking about this, and we simply couldn’t,” Lala lamented. “We couldn’t.”
While the season offered glimpses into Lala’s personal journey, including her pursuit of a second child via IUI, she emphasized the challenges of navigating personal growth amidst the overarching narrative dominated by Tom’s scandal.
“My life, at this point in time, I was wanting to have a baby. I was going down a path of healing and sinking into what my reality is, trying to let go of a lot of anger,” she reflected.
Despite efforts to pivot away from the scandal, the cast found themselves continually drawn back into discussions surrounding Tom’s actions, complicating their individual story arcs.
“Unfortunately, something that Tom Sandoval did destroyed the dynamic of the group. And unfortunately, and fortunately, we film a television show based on this group. There was no avoiding the conversation,” Lala explained.
Acknowledging the strain of balancing personal struggles with the demands of reality television, Lala commended her fellow cast members for their resilience amidst the challenging circumstances.
“When you have to combine the two, it really is f—king hard. Especially when something as traumatic as Sandoval happens in a group of people who have known each other a decade plus, been filming a show for 11 years,” she remarked.
In addition to addressing fan inquiries, Lala also stood by her criticisms of Ariana Madix’s approach to filming, emphasizing the collective challenges faced by the cast throughout the season.
Lala’s insights echo recent revelations from Scheana Shay, who shared her own experiences navigating the pressures of Season 11 amidst fears of the show’s cancellation.
As the future of Vanderpump Rules Season 12 remains uncertain, it is on pause for now.
