Carl Radke Regrets His Actions Toward Lindsay Hubbard in ‘Summer House’ Season 8

Carl Radke is expressing regret over his behavior towards ex-fiancée Lindsay Hubbard as captured in Summer House Season 8.

“I’m not proud of how I was handling the situation and how I was treating her,” Carl, who’s 39, admitted in an interview with the New York Times on Friday. “I mean, I was clearly frustrated and, you know, so I wish I had really been more direct.”

Radke, who recently resumed his role as a Loverboy representative, acknowledged that viewers “can clearly see [him] struggling to communicate [his] feelings,” attributing the failure solely to himself. “That’s not on her, that’s on me — I’m seeing myself blame and play victim, and I don’t want to be either,” he elaborated.

Throughout the season, Carl and Lindsay, 37, frequently clashed over various issues, highlighting their poor communication skills. In the reunion preview, Carl confessed to being scared of Hubbard, further escalating tensions.

As the weeks progressed, Carl’s frustration with his then-fiancée grew, with Hubbard even questioning his sobriety at one point. Despite discussing his concerns with several co-stars and his parents, Radke struggled to confront Hubbard directly.

Lindsay, meanwhile, felt that Radke exhibited an “angry” side, which was evident in the season finale when he told her that her personality could be “a f–king lot!”

After the official season wrapped, production resumed to capture the moment Carl ended their engagement in their shared New York City apartment. During the emotional breakup, Carl accused Hubbard of not caring about his feelings and consistently playing the victim.

Now, nine months after their split, Radke stands by his decision to end the engagement just two and a half months before their wedding. Speaking on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen earlier this month, Carl said he “made the right decision.”

Lindsay echoed his sentiments in an interview with Glamour on Thursday, saying she feels she dodged a “massive bullet.” She added, “I really truly feel thankful that the universe, or God, or whatever higher being you believe in, stepped in and saved me from a really long, hard, rough life ahead.”

The Summer House Season 8 reunion is set to air on Thursday, June 6 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
