Kyle Richards BLASTS Lisa Vanderpump Over Comments About Mauricio Umansky Split
Kyle Richards has responded to what she perceives as subtle digs from former friend Lisa Vanderpump regarding her split from Mauricio Umansky in 2023.
During an appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, Vanderpump appeared to make veiled criticisms about relationships within her former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills circle. While not explicitly naming Richards or Umansky, Richards felt the remarks were aimed at her, characterizing them as “jabs” on Amazon Live.
Richards dismissed Vanderpump’s insinuations as unfounded, asserting, “[She was] trying to imply that when I was, you know, showing myself being happy, that I actually wasn’t — which is an absolute lie, and she knows that.”
Expressing her frustration, Richards criticized Vanderpump’s behavior as “inconsiderate,” suggesting it exemplifies why all of Vanderpump’s former castmates take issue with her. “It’s just so classic her. She never changes or grows or learns,” Richards remarked.
Vanderpump’s comments arose during a discussion on the podcast about infidelity within reality TV relationships. Although Richards interpreted them as aimed at her, there have been other notable splits within Vanderpump’s orbit, such as Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright and Paul “PK” Kemsley and Dorit Kemsley.
While Lisa acknowledged the complexities of marriages, she criticized those who portray a perfect image on-camera while facing challenges off-screen. “Anybody that says, ‘He is perfect my love, and they’re my king’ … I mean, f–k off. It’s your husband, get real,” she remarked.
Despite the apparent shade, Lisa had previously expressed support for Richards and Umansky following news of their separation, indicating she hoped the estranged couple could navigate their challenges.
In response, Richards appreciated Vanderpump’s kind words, emphasizing the significance of her support during a difficult time.
