‘RHONJ’ Star Jennifer Aydin Came Face-to-Face With a Mass Shooter!
Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jennifer Aydin and her family experienced a scary situation over the weekend while strolling along the bustling boardwalk of Seaside Heights, N.J.
Amid the chaos and panic of a potential mass shooter scare, the Aydin family and countless others were gripped with fear.
Sharing a glimpse of the unsettling scene on her Instagram, the 47-year-old Real Housewives of New Jersey star captioned a clip with these words: “This was the mayhem on the boardwalk yesterday.” The video captured the frantic dispersal of people, hinting at the intensity of the situation.
Reflecting on the ordeal, Aydin expressed uncertainty about the events that transpired, stating,
“We’re still unsure of what happened. But everyone in our camp is safe. If anyone knows what happened leave it in the comments.”
In the video she shared, the blare of sirens punctuated the air while Jennifer Aydin’s children could be heard expressing worry in the background.
While Aydin was left uncertain about the unfolding events, NJ.com reported Sunday that confusion was rampant among numerous other beachgoers present at the time.
According to the local outlet, throngs of people “ran from the boards, racing down the exit ramps onto the streets in a panic, as officers raced to the oceanfront on foot and in cars, guns drawn and trying to find gunmen or victims.” Despite the intense response, Police Detective Steve Korman informed NJ.com that no evidence was found to substantiate claims of gunfire or injuries.
The cause of the chaos remains elusive, but videos circulating on social media captured scenes of people fleeing in all directions while heavily armed officers patrolled the area.
An actual stabbing occurred in Ocean City, NJ. The New York Post reported that a 15-year-old fell victim to a knife attack by an unidentified male suspect on the Ocean City boardwalk.
Fortunately, the victim’s injuries were deemed non-life-threatening, and they were swiftly transported to a hospital for treatment.
Following Aydin’s social media post, critics took aim at the reality TV personality for her property investment in Seaside Heights, a locale famously associated with the “Jersey Shore” cast.
“Why would you bought there…this is dumb,” questioned one commentator, while another lamented, “Seaside Heights used to be nice…now its ghetto.”
Despite the backlash, Aydin has yet to respond to the criticisms. However, she did share on Sunday via her Instagram Stories that she and her family opted to “stay in” following the chaos.
The mother of five concluded her update by revealing, “The kids were a little upset. We had like an at-home slumber party.”
