Details of ‘Love & Marriage: Huntsville’ Star Maurice Scott DUI Arrest

Love & Marriage: Huntsville star Maurice Scott was reportedly arrested by Alabama law enforcement over the weekend on a DUI charge.

The reality star’s arrest has sparked significant discussion on social media, especially since this marks the third time this year that a Love & Marriage: Huntsville star has faced legal issues.

According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Department, Scott was detained on the afternoon of May 25, 2024, and released on a $5,000 bond early in the morning on May 26, 2024.

No public statements have been made about Maurice Jefferson Scott’s arrest by either his lawyer or his spouse. His wife, Kimmy Grant-Scott, is also a cast member of Love & Marriage: Huntsville. Both have appeared on the show since its premiere in 2019. The series follows three successful African-American couples working together to rejuvenate Huntsville through their shared real estate venture and also features Scott’s brother, Marsau Scott, and his wife, Latisha Scott.

Maurice Scott was charged with Driving Under the Influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Unfortunately, fans of the Alabama-based reality TV show are aware that this is not the first time a cast member of “Love & Marriage: Huntsville” has faced legal troubles.

In the past year, three cast members from Love & Marriage: Huntsville have been arrested for various charges. Besides Maurice Jefferson Scott’s recent DUI charge, Destiny Payton-Williams was arrested for putting a utility bill in her ex-husband’s name without his knowledge, and Martell Holt faced charges of domestic violence and harassment against his former wife, Melody Shari. Fans of the reality TV show are well-acquainted with the details behind these allegations.

While the same isn’t true for Maurice Scott, the mugshots of the other two stars, Destiny Payton-Williams and Martell Holt, were widely shared on social media and remained a hot topic for some time. Payton-Williams was first arrested in October after surrendering herself to the police for forging her ex-husband’s signature a few months earlier. She even recorded a video of herself exiting her car before turning herself in, which was subsequently posted on social media.

Regarding Martell Holt, he faced arrest on charges of third-degree domestic violence in Huntsville, Alabama. Viewers of “Love & Marriage: Huntsville” were informed of his situation and witnessed him troubling his former spouse, Melody Shari, on the show. Allegedly, he even went as far as to menace her with revenge p*rn.

Such legal troubles are not restricted to the Love & Marriage: Huntsville cast. Numerous members from other reality series, including “Love Island” and “Geordie Shore’s” Scott Timlin, are presently dealing with charges and could potentially face up to two years of imprisonment for endorsing a deceptive financial scheme on their social media accounts.

Love & Marriage: Huntsville airs Saturday nights on OWN.
