‘Vanderpump Rules’ Fans BLAST Katie Maloney for her Behavior at Reunion: Fans Think She’s A BULLY!
On Tuesday night, the Vanderpump Rules reunion continued with host Andy Cohen, 55, welcoming two new guests: James Kennedy’s girlfriend Ally Lewber and Tom Schwartz’s former roommate and fling Jo Wenberg. The focus quickly shifted to Jo and her tumultuous history with Katie Maloney.
Following Schwartz, 41, and Katie, 37, ending their marriage in 2022, Jo sent Katie a supportive text regarding her divorce. However, tensions escalated when Jo moved in with Schwartz, prompting Katie to unfriend her and criticize her on social media and the Bravo series. Katie harshly referred to Jo as having energy “on par with a crack head,” calling her a “psycho” and vowing to “light her on fire.”
During the reunion, clips of Katie’s derogatory comments towards Jo were shown, causing Jo to cry. Tom Schwartz, Lisa Vanderpump, 63, and Scheana Shay, 39, tried to comfort her. Andy Cohen asked Katie about her intense feelings towards Jo.
Katie admitted her feelings were influenced by her difficult divorce and lack of trust in Jo.
“Part of it was coming from a place where [I was] going through a divorce, going through separation, and then having an individual who I didn’t trust and I felt was moving in ways that I didn’t feel comfortable with,” Katie explained, adding that her descriptions of Jo were “very colorful.”
Jo retorted, “Colorful?” to which Katie confirmed. Andy then referenced an episode from March where Jo attended a party with Schwartz while Katie was with Ariana Madix, 38, Lala Kent, 33, and Scheana Shay. Jo felt “ganged up on” by Katie, a sentiment Katie dismissed, stating her own struggles were the focus, not Jo’s feelings.
“It’s not about you. It’s about what I was going through,” Katie snapped. Jo responded, “Of course it’s not,” and Katie admitted:
“I know it wasn’t nice or kind… But I was dealing with a lot of s**t and the last thing I needed was you.” Jo countered, “That’s no excuse.”
Lala defended Katie, highlighting her vulnerability, while Schwartz leaned over to Jo, suggesting, “That’s pretty much an apology from her. That’s as good as you’re gonna get.”
Andy questioned Katie about apologizing for her social media posts. Katie insisted she never called Jo a crack head but described her energy as such. “Listen, I don’t like a lot of people and I don’t believe in being nice to everybody because they’ll turn around and f**k you over,” Katie stated.
Fans on social media criticized Katie’s behavior, labeling her a “mean girl.” One viewer tweeted, “Katie is such a bully. I was on Katie’s side on all this but she lost me.” Another pointed out, “Katie is a grown woman acting like this.” Other comments included, “I see why her marriage failed” and “Katie is a mean human being and likes to bully and attack.” Another fan added, “Katie didn’t even apologize. WTF”
The Vanderpump Rules reunion highlighted ongoing tensions and unresolved conflicts, leaving fans divided over the cast’s actions and reactions.
