‘RHONJ’ Ratings Are Lower Than Ever: Fans Demand Reboot!
The latest episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey experienced a notable ratings drop, with fans citing a lack of authenticity and a divided cast as the primary reasons.
After last year’s fallout with her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga, Teresa Giudice has avoided filming with Melissa and Joe Gorga. The drama among these three has been a central focus. In the most recent episode, Teresa didn’t come to Joe’s birthday party. Instead, the episode highlighted Margaret Josephs and Rachel Fuda’s dissatisfaction with a friendly conversation between Teresa and Jen Fessler.
According to The Reality TV Guru, the ratings for episode three of this season and the entire season—are the lowest in the whole show’s history. The episode aired on Sunday, May 19, and only got 0.699 million viewers, with 0.16 million in the 18-49 demographic. While episode three of the last season got 0.87 million viewers. However this season’s first episode did have 0.837 million viewers, meanwhile the second episode of this season saw has a major decline to 0.740 million (in contrast to last year’s 0.85 million viewers for episode one and 0.86 million viewers for episode two), as reported by Spoiler TV.
Fans voiced their opinions on social media about the ratings drop. “The cast is very divided,” one fan commented. Another said, “Reality TV isn’t good anymore.”
One viewer said, “The show isn’t real anymore. Vanderpump Rules isn’t authentic either anymore. No real fights.”
“Boring storylines,” another remarked. “The show just needs a reboot.” Another user speculated, “I hope the show doesn’t come back. It needs a refresher like RHOA.” One fan said, “Bring the original cast back. The cast from season one through four was great TV.”
Some fans suggested the ratings drop was due to Teresa’s absence from the main event.
