Andy Cohen is addressing the rumors surrounding Dorit Kemsley’s recent marriage troubles, dismissing claims that her separation from Paul “PK” Kemsley is a publicity stunt for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Nearly a week after Dorit announced their separation, Andy, the host of Watch What Happens Live, defended her against speculation that the news was fabricated for a storyline in the show’s upcoming 14th season. “I think that’s ridiculous,” Andy told E! News while promoting FRESCA Mixed’s new club. “I think that’s a terrible thing to accuse someone of.”

Fans still don’t believe Andy, with some saying “Andy please” and “did Dorit ask you to say this” “Dorit would do this for a storyline i’m sure”

Despite Dorit and PK’s relationship issues being featured on the Bravo show, Cohen admitted he was surprised by their breakup after nine years of marriage. “I was sad for them,” he said. “They were just one of those couples that seemed very much in love, they got each other.”

After denying divorce rumors in the past, Dorit confirmed their separation in a May 9 Instagram post. “We have had our struggles over the past few years and continue to work through them as two people who love each other and share two amazing children together,” she wrote. Dorit, who shares son Jagger, 10, and daughter Phoenix, 8, with PK, added, “To safeguard our deep friendship and maintain a harmonious environment for our children, we have made the mutual and difficult decision to take some time apart and reevaluate our relationship while we prioritize our children.”

RHOBH alum and Dorit’s former best friend, Lisa Vanderpump, also commented on the split. “I feel for anybody that’s got young children,” Vanderpump told E! News. “It’s not just the relationship, is it? It’s everything that’s displaced.”
