Leah McSweeney’s Legal Team Believes Bravo’s Investigation Into Andy Cohen Is Bogus!

Real Housewives of New York alum Leah McSweeney’s legal team is questioning the integrity of the recent investigation that cleared Bravo executive Andy Cohen of allegations, including promoting drug use.

McSweeney’s lawyers contend that they were never contacted by investigators during the probe. They also argue that Bravo is leveraging Cohen’s clearance as a strategic move, coinciding with the network’s upfront presentations to advertisers, where it highlights its most prominent shows.

This week, Bravo announced, “The outside investigation into the recent allegations made by Brandi Glanville and Leah McSweeney against Andy Cohen has now been completed, and the claims were found to be unsubstantiated.”

Leah McSweeney’s legal representatives are expressing skepticism about the thoroughness of the investigation that exonerated Bravo executive Andy Cohen from allegations of promoting drug use among other claims. Gary Adelman, McSweeney’s attorney, criticized the process, highlighting a lack of communication with their team.

“How do you have an investigation without speaking to anyone? As far as we know no one ever contacted our firm,” Adelman stated. He also suggested that the timing of announcing Cohen’s clearance was strategically planned to coincide with Bravo’s upfront presentations to advertisers, implying it was more about public relations than substantive inquiry. “This is perfect timing,” he remarked. “One line so they can repeat it to all the advertisers at the upfronts.”

Adelman further mentioned plans to scrutinize the investigation more closely. “We look forward to reviewing all of the interviews, evidence and final reports of the investigation that NBCU conducted, when we receive them during the Discovery phase of the lawsuit,” he added.

McSweeney, a former star of Bravo and sober, initiated a lawsuit in February, accusing Cohen of favoring ‘Real Housewives’ stars who allegedly used cocaine with him, thus receiving better treatment and edits on the show.

Leah McSweeney’s lawsuit against Andy Cohen includes allegations that he fostered a “workplace culture that thrives off drug and alcohol abuse,” which she claims adversely affects employees who are disabled and trying to stay substance-free. In response to these serious allegations, Cohen has strongly denied the claims, and his legal team has demanded an apology from McSweeney.

Additionally, Brandi Glanville, another former “Housewives” star, has also raised issues with Cohen’s conduct. In March, her lawyers sent a letter to NBCUniversal, Shed Media, and Shed’s parent company Warner Bros. Discovery, alleging that Cohen sent Glanville a sexually inappropriate video. These allegations add to the controversy surrounding Cohen, complicating his and the network’s public image amidst these legal challenges.

Andy Cohen, who is openly gay, responded to the allegations made by Brandi Glanville regarding the inappropriate video by apologizing and explaining that it was intended as a joke. He has also addressed Leah McSweeney’s claims about the workplace culture at Bravo, describing them as “hurtful.” Cohen strongly defended his conduct, stating, “I know what the truth is and I know how I’ve conducted myself, and I walk tall every day on that.” Meanwhile, Bravo has not responded to requests for comment on these issues.
