RHONJ’s Margaret Josephs Expresses Disappointment in Jackie Goldschneider!

As Season 14 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey unfolded, viewers braced for the ongoing feud between Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga. However, the unexpected rift between Margaret Josephs and Jackie Goldschneider took everyone by surprise, marking a significant and unanticipated friendship breakup.

During the season premiere, the tension between Margaret and Jackie was palpable, revealing a strange dynamic that hinted at deeper issues. Later, in an interview with Access Hollywood’s Housewives Nightcap, Margaret shed light on their falling out. She succinctly described her feelings towards Jackie with one word: “disappointing.” The initial friction surfaced during a conversation about Jackie’s book, “The Weight of Beautiful,” where Margaret felt overlooked as Melissa received an advance copy, but she did not.

Margaret shared, “Unfortunately, Jackie really disappointed me. She was very, very disappointing,” elaborating on her grievances. “If it’s not happening on Instagram for her, it’s not happening in real life – and Instagram’s not real life.”

The discontent runs deeper than just the book incident. Margaret expressed feeling under-supported by Jackie during her time of mourning after the sudden death of her ex-husband, Jan Josephs. While other cast members, including Teresa, reached out, Margaret felt that Jackie’s efforts fell short of her expectations.

The book issue compounded the strain. Margaret revealed that she had assisted Jackie in securing the book deal by providing her entire press list, only to feel sidelined when she did not receive an early copy.

“I had given her my entire press list for her to send [the book] to people,” Margaret explained.

Feeling snubbed, Margaret commented,

“I purchased the advance copy on Amazon. I’m going to support her, but I thought it was weird, and it felt like she was trying to stick it to me.”

Reflecting on a discussion about the book with Melissa and Jackie, Margaret found the entire exchange “bizarre” and was “hurt” by Jackie’s apparent gatekeeping. She humorously noted that Jackie seemed to treat Melissa like a major press entity, saying, “Jackie was acting as if Melissa was some prestigious press outlet like ‘the New York Times.'”

Margaret concluded that securing an advance copy shouldn’t have been so complicated, especially considering her early involvement in the book deal. The combination of the book fiasco and the perceived lack of support during her bereavement has cooled their friendship significantly.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs Sunday nights, on Bravo, at 8/7c.
