RHOC Star Emily Simpson Speaks Out on Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor’s Split: “She Deserves Better”
Real Housewives of Orange County star Emily Simpson has weighed in again on the situation between Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright amid their separation. As the drama surrounding ‘The Valley‘ stars unfolds, new revelations, including a rumored affair involving Jax and his publicist, makes it seem like Jax was the problem in their marriage.
Jax has refuted these allegations, yet Emily remains skeptical, suspecting his attention has strayed from Brittany.
On the May 2 episode of her podcast, Popping Off, Emily expressed her observations about Jax and Brittany’s discussions on having a second child—a topic also broached on Vanderpump Rules. Emily speculated,
“All I can think is how he is probably backed out of that because he’s with somebody else. He doesn’t want to have a second kid. Are you kidding?” She also expressed her sympathy for Brittany: “She’s so sweet. I mean, she deserves better. So, Team Brittany.”
Emily isn’t alone in her sentiments. Scheana Shay echoed similar thoughts soon after the separation news broke, saying, “I think she deserves better,” and emphasizing that Brittany “deserves a partner who’s going to treat her with respect.” She added that the separation was “for the best.”
Ariana Madix also declared her support during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in March. After speaking with Brittany post-separation, Ariana shared,
“I just wanted her to know that I love her and support her. Being on opposite coasts, it’s difficult, but I told her that if she ever wants to come out to New York, she’s got a place to stay with me.” “I just love her so much, and she’s only ever been the best. And so, I’m team Brittany. As always,” Ariana affirmed.
Amidst these supporting voices, Brittany and Jax confronted rumors suggesting their separation is merely a publicity stunt. “I think there’s a lot of people out there trying to act that what’s going on between us is a publicity stunt, but no,” Brittany stated firmly. “I would never uproot my child if it wasn’t for, you know, for the best and for us to try and figure things out between ourselves. It’s not a publicity stunt. I cannot make that clear enough.”
