Dorit Kemsley and Husband Paul ‘PK’ Kemsley Separate After Nine Years of Marriage!
After nearly a decade of marriage, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Dorit Kemsley and her husband, English businessman Paul “PK” Kemsley, have decided to part ways. The couple, who have been the subject of much public speculation, shared a joint statement on their Instagram Stories on May 9, confirming their separation.
“We as a couple have been subject to a lot of speculation about our marriage,” they wrote. “We have had our struggles over the last few years and continue to work through them as two people who love each other and share two amazing children together,” the statement read.
The couple further explained their decision, stating,
“To safeguard our deep friendship and maintain a harmonious environment for our children we have made the mutual and difficult decision to take some time apart and reevaluate our relationship while we prioritize our children. We appreciate your love and support while we continue to do the work necessary throughout this journey,” concluding with, “With love, Dorit and PK.“
Dorit and PK, who tied the knot in March 2015, share two children: daughter Phoenix and son Jagger. This announcement follows their previous denial of separation rumors to PEOPLE in October 2023, where they stated,
“We remain committed to working through these issues as a united couple for our family. We have not separated nor are we planning to do so. Rather, we are focused on healing, making changes and doing the things that many couples have to do at some point in their marriage.”
The couple’s marital challenges were openly discussed during Season 13 of RHOBH, highlighting issues ranging from Dorit’s PTSD following a 2021 home invasion to PK’s frequent travel for work. At the show’s reunion in March, Dorit disclosed a recent low point in their relationship: “After we wrapped [filming], things got progressively worse,” she said. “And him and I were at probably an all-time bad.” She also revealed that PK had temporarily stayed in a hotel during a rough patch but denied that they ever lived “separate lives.”
Dorit shared that they were on an upswing, largely due to PK’s decision to stop drinking. “PK was drinking a lot and he’s a drinker. I just think that it’s very difficult to have clear-headed conversations when he’s drinking so much, so he gave up drinking,” she said, noting that at the time of filming, PK had been sober for “49 days.” She expressed optimism about their future, “That was a very pivotal moment, so things are — knock on wood — as good as they can possibly be,” she gushed.
