‘RHOC’ Star Jennifer Pedranti’s Fiancé Ryan Boyajian Named In $17 Million Fraud Scheme!

Real Housewives of Orange County star Jennifer Pedranti’s fiancé, Ryan Boyajian, has been implicated in a staggering $17 million fraud scheme, raising eyebrows and legal questions.

Ryan Boyajian is allegedly involved in a $17 million gambling and theft scheme involving L.A. Dodgers pitcher, Shohei Ohtani’s former interpreter, Ippei Mizuhara.

ESPN reported on Wednesday that Ippei Mizuhara wired money to Ryan to settle his gambling debts. On the same day, the U.S. Attorney’s office announced that Ippei agreed to plead guilty to two federal charges for stealing nearly $17 million from the MLB star’s bank account. Prosecutors stated that Ippei used the stolen funds to cover his illegal gambling debts and could face over 30 years in prison under the plea deal.

According to prosecutors, Ippei’s illegal bookmaker suggested he could settle his gambling debts by wiring money to “Associate 1,” who ESPN identifies as Ryan.

Ippei Mizuhara regularly logged into Ohtani’s bank account without permission and initiated wire transfers to the bookmaker and his associates as payments for gambling debts,” stated a release from the office of United States Attorney Martin Estrada. “For example, on June 20, 2023, Ippei Mizuhara accessed the account and transferred $500,000 to one of the bookmaker’s associates.”

Steven Katzman, Ryan’s criminal lawyer, informed ESPN that his client is cooperating with federal authorities, while sources claimed that Ryan received immunity in exchange for his testimony.

“Because there is an active investigation and Ryan is working with the authorities, he can’t confirm or deny what is going on,” Katzman commented. “He is not a bookmaker or a sub-bookie.”

ESPN also reported that Ryan and the alleged illegal bookmaker, identified as Mathew Bowyer, used Ippei’s payments in casino “marker” accounts. They allegedly withdrew chips, gambled with them, and cashed out if they won.

Ippei Mizuhara consented on Wednesday to plead guilty to federal charges of felony bank fraud and filing a false tax return. This decision comes after investigations revealed he embezzled nearly $17 million from Ohtani to cover debts to an illegal sportsbook.
