Monica Garcia Announces Miscarriage and ‘RHOSLC’ Fans Believe She Lied About Her Pregnancy!
Amidst a whirlwind of speculation and support, Monica Garcia’s recent announcement of her miscarriage has left RHOSLC fans divided, with some questioning the authenticity of her initial pregnancy announcement.
Real Housewives of Salt Lake City alum Monica Garcia shared a deeply personal update with her followers via an Instagram post on Sunday, April 28. Two weeks after happily announcing her pregnancy, Monica revealed she suffered a miscarriage. “One thing I promised myself when opening my life up to all of you was that I was going to do it completely unapologetically and authentically raw as possible,” Monica stated, expressing her commitment to transparency. “Unfortunately, today I need to share a very heartbreaking aspect.”
In her post, Monica conveyed the painful news she received, “‘There is no heartbeat.’ I don’t have many words and I’m still processing all of this myself. As quickly as this happened, that’s how quickly things have changed.”
The 39-year-old reality star also extended her compassion to others facing similar struggles.
“I’m sending so much love to those who are undergoing miscarriages, fertility issues, pregnancy problems, if you have an angel baby, and everything in-between.” She expressed gratitude for her support system, adding, “I am so grateful for my incredible doctors and amazing support system. I am so blessed to have all of you in my corner and I appreciate how beautiful you all have been to me about this baby. I love you and I’m so thankful for you.🤍🤍🤍.”
Monica initially disclosed her pregnancy earlier this month on The Viall Files podcast, sharing that she was seven weeks along and that the news came as a surprise. “I literally just found out,” she admitted. “I have not told one f—king person except for my best friend.” She learned of her pregnancy during a visit to urgent care for an unrelated issue.
However, some fans of RHOSLC questioned whether the former reality TV star was lying about the pregnancy from the outset and speculated if it was all a publicity stunt. One person wrote, “I can’t believe anyone would fake something so personal for publicity. I really hope it’s not true!”
Another fan commented, “Honestly, at this point, nothing surprises me with reality TV stars. It could definitely be a stunt.”
Someone posted, “Publicity stunt or not, it’s her personal life. I think everyone should just back off and let her handle her business privately.”
Another fan disagreed – stating, “If it turns out to be a stunt, it’s really disappointing. Fans invest in their stories and deserve honesty.”
While another simply wrote, “Why anyone would believe this liar is beyond me.”
Someone came to Monica’s defense, “I think people should give her the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise. Spreading rumors like this is really harmful.”
Monica humorously recounted how she broke the news to the father, Braxton Knight, who manages Wasatch Excursions in Utah.
“I was leaving on a work trip and I was on a plane. He was like, ‘I love you so much,’ and I was like, ‘I’m pregnant’ and then [turned] my phone [on airplane mode for takeoff]. That was so f—ked up, but it worked out because I was so scared of his answer. I was like, ‘airplane mode’ and he had time to process.”
Upon landing, Braxton, excited about becoming a father for the first time, had processed the news.
“We were both in shock, but he’s been incredible [and] so supportive,” Monica added.
Monica, a mother of four from her previous marriage to Mike Fowler, also shared that she was cautious about introducing Braxton to her children, wanting to ensure the relationship was serious. “I’m very, very protective of my girls and, honestly, the pregnancy is what kind of kicked everything into motion,” she explained. The couple has been dating for a year, yet Monica had kept his identity and their relationship low-profile, diverging from the pattern set by her own mother’s dating history.
