During the podcast, Brock admitted feeling awkward when meeting Ariana’s business manager, Brad, and reflected on a conversation where he brought up Rachel “Raquel” Leviss in front of Ariana.

Brock recalled Scheana expressing reservations about attending the show due to feeling unwelcome. “You told me, like, ‘I don’t know if I want to go to this because I don’t feel welcome there,’ and I was like, ‘Honey, we’re going,’” he said.

Scheana also shared her struggles with choosing between attending the show and staying home for their daughter, Summer.

“I also had major mom guilt,” Scheana said. “That was the biggest thing was I didn’t want to leave Summer for three nights for New York and then three nights for Coachella. So I said it’s one or the other. So we went and supported Ariana and we left Coachella Day 3. That was the compromise.”

The couple noted that the dynamics between them and Ariana had changed since the filming of season 11 of Vanderpump Rules and after the reunion in March. “Since the reunion going to now, it was just a very different vibe,” Brock explained. However, he was glad they attended, praising Ariana’s performance as “fantastic.”

Brock expressed regret over bringing up Raquel during the trip but defended his approach.

“Yeah, but if I wasn’t pushing conversations for those first three weeks, no conversations were happening,” he explained. He also addressed his controversial behavior, including antagonizing other cast members, saying, “It’s not my proudest moments, nor throwing [Katie Maloney] under the bus for doing the deed [with Max Boyens], but I was just instigating a conversation between people.”

Scheana, although annoyed by Brock’s actions, admitted, “On reality TV, someone’s gotta be messy. It happened to be you.”

The discussion also touched on Ariana’s choice not to watch the current season of Vanderpump RulesScheana believed watching the episodes would provide Ariana with better context, rather than forming opinions based on social media snippets. “I feel like she would’ve at least had more context [if she’d watched full episodes], versus forming thoughts from what she’s seen from her FYP page, on TikTok, and social media echo chamber,” Scheana said.

Scheana also humorously addressed the jokes about her making the “Scandoval” drama all about herself. “Feels like something’s finally about me,” she joked. She also teased upcoming music projects, highlighting her enjoyment of expressing her thoughts and feelings through her songs. “That’s the thing I love so much about the music that I’m writing is to be able to put my thoughts and feelings into a dope song. More to come. The master is almost done.”

On a episode of Vanderpump Rules, Scheana Shay released a diss track titled “Apples,” which was initially aimed at Rachel Leviss but also included disparaging lines about Tom Sandoval, referencing his affair with Rachel amid his long-term relationship with Ariana Madix. Scheana debuted the song during a brunch at TomTom, the restaurant Sandoval co-owns. Despite claiming the track was “open to interpretation,” Scheana admitted to Sandoval that certain lyrics, specifically comparing a Ferrari to a Jetta, were pointedly about him and Rachel.

Sandoval reacted negatively, arguing that Scheana was profiting from his personal hardships and stated that if the roles were reversed, she would feel differently. He ended up storming out, accusing Scheana of exploiting his pain for profit. The song itself includes harsh descriptors like “narcissistic psycho” and labels Sandoval and Rachel as “fake,” “a snake,” and “a hot mess.”

Vanderpump Rules season 11 airs Tuesdays, at 8/7c, on Bravo.
