‘Golden Bachelor’ Star Gerry Turner Faces Accusations of Chasing Fame and Fortune Amid Divorce!

Golden Bachelor star, Gerry Turner, has been accused of signing on to  the reality show in a quest for fame and fortune, not to find true love.  

Gerry Turner married Theresa Nist, in January but filed for divorce only three months later, on April 12. 

Turner, who allegedly created a fake resume as a restauranteur, has been hit with a new set of allegations. 

“His real goal was to set himself up as a Hollywood player and be rich and famous,” a source told The National Enquirer. “He never had any interest in finding a bride or in the feelings of the women he courted on the show.”

The Golden Bachelor followed Turner’s search for love which led to his engagement to Nist. Turner, who claimed he hadn’t dated since the death of his wife, briefly backed out of the nuptials before finally tying the knot with the widow. 

“Theresa was warned not to marry Gerry because of his history of lies and fraud,” the snitch dished. “She really loved him, but she’s been played for a fool.”

The insider added — “She must have seen the writing on the wall when Gerry refused to move in with her” after the duo wed, in January. 

The tipster said — “They were living separate lives, with Theresa in New Jersey and Gerry holed up at his Indiana lake house. Her head has to be spinning from all his deceit!”

One source alleged that Turner plotted his own villain edit, after watching the “Vanderpump Rules” cheating scandal explode in the press. 

“Gerry learned from the whole ‘Vanderpump Rules’ scandal,” the insider explained. ”That’s when he set out to ride the same gravy train, and his reps are already pitching him as TV’s newest bad boy!” 

Turner’s divorce documents revealed that an ironclad prenuptial agreement was in place, per Radar Online. He cited an “irretrievable breakdown” within the relationship and confirmed that a prenup existed, in court documents. 

The pair’s divorce is expected to go forward without conflict, due to the legal  agreement. 

Turner’s narrative began to show cracks ahead of his live televised wedding, as he was outed for purportedly hiding an ex girlfriend after  claiming he’d been alone and loveless since the death of his wife. 

A woman named Carolyn told The Hollywood Reporter that she had dated Turner for ten months before the pair supposedly lived together for a year and nine months. She alleged that their romance began shortly after the death of Turner’s wife.

The article also pointed out that while the show portrayed the 72-year-old as a retired restauranteur, he actually worked as a handyman after selling his drive-in eatery in 1985. 

Turner responded to the report, commenting — “I guess I would say this: I dated a number of women, but then it becomes an issue of how you define whether you’re in a relationship.” 

He also denied that his relationship with Carolyn lasted a few years.
