‘Love During Lockup’ Star LaTisha Collier Arrested for STEALING from Her Own Tax Return Clients!

Love During Lockup star, LaTisha Collier, known for founding her own tax preparation and financial services business despite her history of felony convictions, has been arrested again.

The reality TV diva was taken into custody April 23, on charges of felony theft, raising concerns that she may have reverted to her previous criminal behaviors. Collier was booked into the Scott County Jail early Tuesday afternoon, according to a report by Starcasm. 

Collier was later released after posting a $5k bond.  

Collier was proud when she established her own tax prep and financial services business, Boss Tax and Accounting Services, despite her criminal record, but it appears that old habits die hard.  

The theft charges are reportedly linked to services rendered to one of Collier’s clients. She was accused of collecting then pocketing the cash  designated to pay off her client’s tax debt.  

The criminal complaint stated, per the outlet — “Detectives with the Davenport Police Department conducted an investigation regarding reported theft that occurred on April 26, 2023 via the business of Boss Tax and Accounting Services LLC…”

“The Defendant did offer tax services to the victim which were completed. As a result of the completed tax services, the Defendant informed the victim they had a tax liability of $8788.00. The Defendant offered to pay the tax liability for the victim if they provided them with the moneys.”

“The victim provided the Defendant with a payment of $8788.00 on April 26th 2023 at 12:58hrs. The victim was provided a receipt indicating a payment of $8788.00 with the account reference of ($40 to Iowa 2022, $457 to Illinois 2022, $4159 to IRS 2022 and $4132 for 2021.)”

“The Defendant was entrusted with this money by the victim in order to pay the victims tax liability…” 

A preliminary hearing is set for April 30, 2024. 

Collier has purportedly been filming for the upcoming season of “Love During Lockup,” leading many to believe that her latest arrest will play out on the show. 

Collier’s husband, Keith Collier, is currently serving prison time in Colorado. His release date is February 25, 2025, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons website. 

LaTisha Collier took to Instagram after she posted bond but surprised fans when she didn’t try to blame the alleged victim or characterize the arrest as a misunderstanding.   

She wrote — “It takes a strong person to be positive in a negative situation. Thank you all for your support 🙌🏽 I pray for a positive outcome for both parties. I hope we can work this out quickly amongst each other instead of dragging an unessarry situation out for several years that will benefit no one. Stay blessed 🤞🏽”

Collier revealed in the post’s comment section that it was her husband who posted her $5k bond. 

A user wrote — “Girl….. maybe get off social media for a bit 🤣 talk to ya husband.”

She replied — “He just bonded me out.”
