Ally Lewber Talks Tension Between Ariana Madix and Scheana Shay During Coachella!
Ally Lewber recently shed light on the tensions among the Vanderpump Rules cast, particularly between Ariana Madix and Scheana Shay, following the taping of the show’s season 11 reunion.
Ally spoke exclusively to Us Weekly on Tuesday, April 23, Lewber noted, “I’m personally good with everyone. I just saw Ariana and Scheana at Coachella. There was some tension.” Despite the current strain, Ally does remain optimistic about the group’s cohesion. “I think at the end of the day, everyone’s a family, and I know it’s a very cheesy basic answer, but they really are. And they’ve all been through so much together where I don’t have any doubt they’ll be fine. But I do think, I’m sure some feelings are hurt,” she added.
Ally Lewber recently reflected on the challenges of watching Vanderpump Rules season 11 after its airing, noting that the episodes portrayed events differently than the cast initially perceived them.
“Watching the season back is a little different than, I think, everyone thought in the moment,” she remarked. This observation came alongside comments from Ariana Madix, who earlier this week discussed concerns over receiving a “villain edit” on the show. Contrary to these concerns, Ally expressed her disagreement with that perspective. “I don’t think she’s getting a villain edit. … But I do see how they’re giving Sandoval a lot of attention in a way,” Ally stated. She firmly believes that it would be unlikely for Ariana to be portrayed negatively, adding, “So I could see that, but I don’t think there’s any possible way she could get the villain edit.”
Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules has been is followed by the intense drama surrounding Tom Sandoval’s affair with Rachel “Raquel” Leviss, an event that resulted in the end of his nearly decade-long relationship with Ariana Madix.
The fallout has significantly impacted the dynamics within the cast, leading to varied responses among the members regarding their relationships with Sandoval. While Ariana and Katie Maloney have chosen to not talk to him, other cast members like Scheana Shay and Lala Kent have opted to hear him out, demonstrating a division among the group on how to navigate their friendships in the aftermath of the controversy. This split has sparked debates among viewers, who are divided on the cast’s handling of the situation and their loyalty to the involved parties.
Ally Lewber recently discussed the difficulties of navigating friendships amid the ongoing drama in Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules, particularly between Scheana Shay and Ariana Madix, who have been affected by Tom Sandoval’s publicized affair. “It is hard [to be in the middle, but] I’m used to [it], I’ve been there my whole life [as a] Libra Moon,” Ally shared with the outlet. She managed to maintain neutrality, spending time with both Scheana and Ariana at Coachella without delving into the controversy. “And like at Coachella, I hung out with both of them and we didn’t have to talk about any of it. And if they wanted to talk about it, they can,” she added.
The tension among the cast members reportedly escalated during the show’s reunion, which was taped last month. “It was heavy,” Ally remarked about the reunion, suggesting that it will be a must-watch episode for fans. “And everyone will want to watch it. I mean, even me, I want to see what happens again, because it was just emotional. It was a lot.”
Adding to the reunion drama, on March 21st, Lala Kent addressed a tweet from a fan account Bravo Babe, which sparked rumors of a severe fallout between her and Ariana. The tweet stated, “Rumor is that Ariana eviscerated Lala at the end of the reunion. Like friendship over type of situation.” Engaging directly with the speculation, Lala responded, “Only one of those things is true – I’ll let y’all decide.”
On the April 11 episode of Access Hollywood’s “Housewives Nightcap — Lala Kent reflected on her experience at the Vanderpump Rules season 11 reunion, which revealed a departure from the usual honesty she had come to expect from her castmates.
Lala remarked, “Whether we were beefing or not, for however many years I’ve been on this show, I’m like, ‘These people are honest.’ Like, they just tell it like it is. We say things that are a little uncomfortable, right?” However, this reunion felt different to her: “This round … I was like, ‘I feel so grossed out.’ At the reunion, people [were] looking me dead in the eyes being like, ‘That never happened.’ And I’m like, ‘Wow.’ Even thinking about it now, I was so frustrated that I was sobbing uncontrollably after. It felt like a giant purge.”
Despite the emotional intensity, Lala found the process ultimately cathartic. She explained her sense of resolution after the reunion, saying,
“I left feeling peaceful. I knew that I had been as honest … Even though it might not have hit the way that I may have liked it to.” She emphasized her commitment to transparency, adding, “I had not one thing to hide. There was not one stone that was left unturned on my end … I found the reunion to be extremely healing.”
Vanderpump Rules is airing on Bravo, Tuesday nights, at 8 p.m. ET.
