‘Seeking Sister Wife’ Dannielle Merrifield Announces Third Pregnancy with Garrick!
In the latest episode of Seeking Sister Wife, Dannielle Merrifield made a surprising revelation about her pregnancy while her husband, Garrick Merrifield was away on a trip to Brazil.
Seeking Sister Wife fans witnessed the reveal during the Monday, April 22, episode, as Dannielle discussed the news with her sister-in-law after enduring a month apart from Garrick.
During his absence, Garrick Merrifield, 40, ventured to South America to spend time with Nathalia, the Brazilian woman he proposed to earlier in the season.
Prior to sharing her pregnancy news, Dannielle Merrifield, 36 expressed concerns about her marriage dynamics, feeling that Nathalia’s focus was primarily on Garrick rather than on fostering a sister-wife relationship with her.
“Our bond, our sisterhood isn’t like truly important to her,” Dannielle told cameras in a private confessional during the April 15 episode. “I’m expressing my concerns to [Garrick] and it’s like, he doesn’t understand them.”
Garrick acknowledged his concerns regarding the relationship dynamics between Dannielle and Nathalia, expressing uncertainty about their ability to resolve their issues.
“I think women are emotional and nurturing, but I think that at the same time, it makes them more vulnerable to thoughts, ideas, that come into the mind and then they run with that emotionally too,” Garrick explained in a private confessional. “And having to learn to, well … not, every thought that enters your mind is a good thought to entertain.”
During the March 25 episode, Dannielle expressed her apprehensions about adding a new wife to their family, citing concerns stemming from past experiences with Roberta Rodriguez.
Nathalia responded using a translation app, expressing her discomfort with the idea of being in a polygamous relationship while Dannielle still harbored fears. Garrick, taken aback by the revelation, admitted he believed he and Dannielle were aligned in their feelings about Nathalia joining their family. Dannielle tearfully shared in a confessional that while she understood Nathalia was not Roberta, the betrayal she experienced in the past left her feeling devastated and unable to fully trust.
Dannielle shared that divorcing Garrick to facilitate his legal marriage to Roberta was a difficult decision, driven by her trust in Roberta’s love and care for her. The trio initially connected through a polygamous dating website, similar to their introduction to Nathalia. After multiple trips to Brazil to spend time with Roberta, Dannielle and Garrick legally divorced to enable Roberta’s entry to the U.S. on a K-1 visa.
However, tensions arose when Roberta expressed reservations about Garrick taking another wife. Eventually, she chose to depart from the Merrifield family, notifying them of her decision via text message. Season 5 chronicled the Merrifields’ journey to Cancun, Mexico, where they met Nathalia for the first time.
