Wendy Williams’ Guardian DEMANDS $112K Return from Kevin Hunter, Citing Overpayment in Divorce Settlement

Wendy Williams’ guardian is asking the court to order the former daytime star’s ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, to pay back $112,500 in alimony.

Sabrina Morrissey claimed in court documents that Hunter was “overpaid” over a period of three months and was “unjustly enriched” by his ex’s fortune.

Morrissey stated that Hunter continued to receive monthly payments until January 2022, despite the “Wendy Williams Show” ceasing payments to the former host in October 2021, a timeline Hunter confirmed.

“I believe this was largely the result of the fact that the payments had been put on an ‘autopay’ function within her account,” Morrissey explained in court documents.

She added that the payments go “against the express terms” of the exes’ settlement agreement, which stated that payments to Hunter would end if Wendy’s income was reduced “less than 2 times her then yearly income (as of Feb. 1, 2020).”

The docs note — “By holding on to the funds he was overpaid, he has interfered with [Williams’] right of possessions to those funds.”

Morrissey, who is asking that interest be tacked on to the repayments, is also requesting that the court issue a gag order that would prohibit Hunter from speaking to to “press or others.”

“The potential harm to [Williams] is great,” she stated. “Mr. Hunter and his agents have shown their willingness to talk to the press about these issues.”

In 2022, Wells Fargo froze Wendy’s bank accounts and filed a petition for temporary guardianship, arguing that she was the “victim of undue influence and financial exploitation,” according to Wendy’s former attorney, LaShawn Thomas.

The lawyer representing the bank, David H. Pikus, wrote at the time — “We are concerned about [Wendy’s] situation.”

“It is our hope that the Guardianship Part [of the court] will imminently appoint a temporary guardian or evaluator to review the situation and ensure that [Wendy’s] affairs are being properly handled.”

Wendy has repeatedly voiced her objections to the guardianship.

Wendy’s struggle for financial freedom was detailed in the recent Lifetime documentary, “Where is Wendy Williams?”. The special also explored Wendy’s recent dementia and aphasia diagnoses, as well as her addiction issues.

Morrissey later accused Lifetime’s parent company, A+E, of filming the once-popular host “in an obviously disabled state.”

A network rep told Page Six at the time — “We look forward to the unsealing of our papers as well, as they tell a very different story.”
