Amid ongoing controversy and declining ratings, Andy Cohen, the influential figure behind Bravo’s success, is reportedly considering a split from the network.

“Negotiations for Andy Cohen’s departure package are currently in progress as he deals with the repercussions of recent allegations made by his stars,” a source disclosed. The controversy includes a lawsuit by former Real Housewives of New York City star Leah McSweeney, who accuses Cohen of promoting excessive substance use to enhance TV ratings, and claims by Brandi Glanville of sexual harassment.

Both Cohen and Bravo have vehemently denied these accusations. A Bravo insider stated, “This couldn’t be further from the truth,” as the network and Cohen confront these serious claims.

In addition, a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by former Real Housewives of New Jersey star Caroline Manzo against Bravo is reportedly causing delays for the upcoming season of the Peacock spinoff, Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. The legal issues raised by Manzo appear to be impacting the production schedule and may affect the release timeline of the new season.

Brandi Glanville

Andy Cohen, host of Watch What Happens Live issued an apology after Brandi Glanville, a former cast member of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” accused him of harassment. The accusation stemmed from a video allegedly sent by Cohen to Glanville in 2022. In the video, which also featured Kate Chastain — Cohen explains, “Kate Chastain and I were clearly joking with Brandi. It was absolutely meant in jest, and Brandi’s response indicated she understood it as such. That said, it was totally inappropriate and I apologize.” Cohen shared this apology via X (formerly Twitter) in February.

Despite Cohen’s apology, a publicist for NBC and Bravo has denied the allegations, stating that the story is inaccurate.

After news of the story broke, there was a swift response from Bravo, with a spokesperson clearly denying the rumors about Andy Cohen’s departure from the network. This statement was aimed at quelling speculation and reaffirming Cohen’s position within the network amidst the circulating rumors.

Sources with direct knowledge have informed us that a recent report alleging Andy Cohen’s departure from Bravo was entirely inaccurate. The report, which relied on an anonymous source for its headline, claimed Cohen’s rumored exit was due to a series of allegations made against him in various lawsuits, including those brought by former ‘Housewives’ stars Brandi Glanville and Leah McSweeney. However, these insiders emphatically state that none of the published information was correct, dismissing the claims as baseless.

Leah McSweeney

It’s important to recall that Brandi Glanville’s legal team sent a demand letter to NBC in February, alleging that she had been exploited by producers over the years, which effectively put the network and Andy Cohen on notice. In a separate claim, Leah McSweeney accused Bravo of fostering a toxic work environment that exploited her struggles with alcohol for higher ratings. Furthermore, McSweeney alleged that Andy Cohen used cocaine with ‘Housewives’ and other Bravo stars, reportedly rewarding those who participated in these activities. These serious allegations have added layers of complexity to the public discourse surrounding the network and its personalities.
