Aoki Lee Simmons’ controversial romance with Serafina founder, Vittorio Assaf, is already over.
According to Page Six, the model’s mother, Kimora Lee Simmons, was reportedly furious about her daughter’s relationship with the restauranteur, who is 43 years her senior, but it appears that Aoki, 21, and 65 year-old Assaf’s romantic escape to St. Barts was just a fling.
A source close to Aoki told the outlet — “It’s 100% done. They’re absolutely not dating.”
However, Aoki called the 65-year-old her “boyfriend” on multiple occasions as she shared snippets of the tropical getaway with fans and followers on Instagram Live. Aoki referred to Assaf as the “second boyfriend” she’s ever had as she toured his island property with followers, in one posted clip.
After the 21-year-old was photographed kissing her new beau on the beach, a source relayed an alleged comment from Aoki to Page Six.
“Of course, I’m not with him. I was never with him,” the tipster told the outlet after communicating with Aoki on Monday.
Aoki appeared blissful during her vacation, telling her social media followers during the house tour—“I’m the happiest person to ever happy right now.”
She even gushed over her new love interest’s shoes, telling fans — “Look at how huge his shoes are. That makes me really happy. He’s [6-foot-4].”
One insider, who knows Assaf, described him as an “older man with little boy charm.”
The source said — “He’s always loved younger beautiful women. He’s gotten older, but his taste hasn’t changed.”
The snitch added — “I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s out with another young girl tonight!”
Another source, who reportedly slept with Assaf several years ago, told the site that one reason women are attracted to him had to do with a specific physical attribute.
The insider, who is several decades older that Aoki, expressed surprise that Assaf was with someone so young, but dished — “It’s the biggest… in New York.”
Aoki’s father, Russell Simmons, was not upset over his daughter’s decision to take off with Assaf.
“All I can do is offer my advice and unconditional love,” the music mogul told TMZ.
The first insider believes that Aoki gave her dad a heads-up about upcoming articles covering the controversial romance, but reiterated—“they are not dating.”
The source added that Aoki was not materialistic, despite circulated video clips of the model gushing over products from stores like Bulgari and Cartier.
“She’s not even like that. She doesn’t care about jewelry. She doesn’t have Hermes. It’s not even her. She doesn’t even care about expensive things like that. She’s like more of a geek,” the insider said.
