‘Selling Sunset’ Alum Christine Quinn’s Husband Files for Divorce, Seeks Sole Custody of Their Son
Christine Quinn’s husband, Christian Dumontet, has filed for divorce and is demanding sole custody of the estranged couple’s son. The spouse of the “Selling Sunset” alum, who was previously ordered to stay 100 yards away from both Quinn and their son, cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the breakup, per TMZ. Dumontet’s filing included a checked box indicating his request for sole legal and physical custody of their son, despite the active restraining order.
The ex Netflix star was granted the order after Dumontet allegedly threw a bag full of glass at their son, last month. The child was checked out in the hospital after the incident, which landed Dumontet behind bars for the night.
A Los Angeles judge granted Quinn’s request for the temporary restraining order, which requires Dumontet to maintain a 100 yard distance from her, their child and her two dogs. He is allowed to have court-ordered visits with their son.
Dumontet demanded that the court bar Quinn from seeking spousal support, and did not cite a prenuptial agreement. He is not requesting alimony, but wants the court to determine all earnings accrued since their separation to be deemed his property.
Quinn and Dumontet tied the knot in 2021, according to divorce documents.
Last week, the duo began arguing over finances, which led to Dumontet’s arrest after things seemingly turned violent.
Quinn claimed that her husband threw various items, including dog feces, at her and poured liquid all over their bedroom. She also alleged that Dumontet urinated on the floor and hurled a bag of glass that hit their toddler son.
He denied the allegation and claimed that he threw the bag at the wall, not at their child.
“He began going through the house and bringing the floral arrangements back up to the master bedroom, and began throwing them, and their heavy shipping boxes, at me. He narrowly missed hitting me with one of the metal rods, but I was struck by one of boxes he threw,” Quinn’s docs read, as reported by Radar Online.
“After he collected and threw multiple heavy floral arrangements at me over the course of approximately half an hour, he then retrieved and opened a can of Dr. Pepper and proceeded to pour it all over the bed and the floor, all the while shouting and yelling abuse,” she continued. “He then left the room again, went downstairs again, and returned a short time later, and threw dog feces at me, which he pulled out of the trash. He then pulled out his penis and began to urinate on the floor.”
Dumontet claimed that the fight started after Quinn’s dogs urinated over his expensive belongings. He filed for a protective order against Quinn, but was denied.
Dumontet was arrested on two occasions in March, and violated the protection order when he returned to the family home after he was released from jail.
