Jill Zarin Claps Back After Being Labeled Charter Guest From Hell By Below Deck’ Crew Members!
Jill Zarin will likely keep her vacations under the radar after being slammed with backlash for her “rude” behavior, during her recent appearance on Below Deck.
The Real Housewives of New York City alum posted a new photo of herself snapped during the excursion, adding a caption that appeared to acknowledge the negative fan feedback.
“Thank you @themelindaspringer and @mrnoahspringer for an amazing trip. We made a great show together but this summer’s trip NO cameras! Love you both 🤍 🤍 🤍,” Jill captioned her Instagram Story.
The 60-year-old also shared two Instagram Stories originally posted by “Below Deck” stewardess, Barbara “Barbie” Pascual. Barbie backed up Jill and agreed that the former Bravo star was right about some of her expressed demands highlighted during the episode.
Barbie said in a posted video — “You guys, I watched the show back, and I don’t think that Jill was as bad as it looked, and I just wanna also say that there were so many other moments where she was super fun and sweet and nice.”
The “Below Deck” cast member admitted that Jill was “demanding,” but added that she was not rude for requesting things that were “actually normal yacht requirements.”
“She was right. She just wanted nugget ice in her Diet Coke, that’s not a big deal,” Barbie said.
The stewardess reiterated that Jill “really was not so bad,” in a second Instagram Story, adding that after watching Monday’s episode she realized that she “ran her name through the mud.”
“I take it back, and she really is not so bad,” Barbie said.
Barbie clarified that she still believed that Jill’s request for a doorbell to summon crew members at any time was over the top.
Barbie’s co-stars, Fraser Olender and Chef Anthony Iracane, dissed Jill during the episode, but have yet to speak out since the show aired.
X users blasted Jill as the episode unfolded, calling out the RHONY alum for acting “insufferable,” “entitled” and like a “spoiled brat.”
Jill suggested several preferences to the crew, including specific ice cubes for her Diet Coke and a constant stream of food.
“Jill is the primary in her head. She’s overwhelming,” Barbie said in a confessional spot.
She later added — “I think she’s annoying, and I think it’s too much. You’re a freeloading guest who’s extremely demanding. This is too much for me. I need another stew just for Jill.”
Fraser dramatically asserted that Jill was “crawling into my brain and eating away at my soul.”
Chef Anthony told cameras — “I think the primary, she’s OK, but her friend taking over the boat, it’s like she’s a f–king captain Like taking over the ship.”
Captain Kerry encouraged his crew to keep their eyes on the primary guest and not get “rattled” by Jill’s demands.
Below Deck airs on Mondays, at 8 pm ET, on Bravo.
