In a shocking turn of events, Shannon Beador’s ex John Janssen vehemently refutes her allegations regarding Alexis Bellino’s involvement in the $75k facelift lawsuit, while revealing Shannon’s financial woes.
John Janssen is countering claims by The Real Housewives of Orange County star that his current girlfriend influenced his decision to initiate a $75,000 lawsuit against her.
John Janssen’s legal representative retorted to Shannon Beador’s allegations, which implicated her fellow cast member, Alexis Bellino, in the ongoing legal dispute, as reported.
Shannon sparked controversy when she discussed John’s legal action on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live on Monday.
Speaking of the legal challenges, Shannon remarked, “Well, I’ve had two lawsuits. They’ve both had Bellino involved somehow,” noting, “Interesting, isn’t it? A little bit.”
Shannon referenced her 2019 legal encounter with Alexis’ ex-husband, Jim Bellino, who was mandated to pay her $138,000 after initiating a $1 million defamation lawsuit against her and her RHOC co-star, Tamra Judge.
Although Shannon is uncertain whether Alexis influenced John’s lawsuit against her, she noted the similarity as “very coincidental.”
RadarOnline.com has discovered that there is “no connection” between John’s facelift lawsuit and his current girlfriend.
“Mr. Janssen filed the lawsuit as it seems to be the sole method for him to reclaim the funds he lent Ms. Beador,” his attorney, Edson McClellan, explained to Page Six. He criticized Shannon for labeling her ex’s financial loans as gifts, deeming her claims “shameful.”
“Ms. Beador has consistently spoken negatively about him on ‘RHOC’ for years, spreading complete untruths. Mr. Janssen aims to correct the record without being accused of violating any non-disparagement agreement,” he asserted.
Shannon openly discussed her legal entanglements with Janssen on Jeff Lewis’s show, revealing she proposed to settle the full amount he claimed she owed, contingent upon both parties signing a non-disparagement agreement to prevent public criticism of each other. However, John declined the offer.
Shannon expressed her frustration on the podcast, questioning, “What am I supposed to do? Hand over the money you allege I owe and allow you to continue disparaging me? No,” she remarked, further explaining, “My lawyer advised against it, so now I’m faced with going to trial, which is a significant ordeal.”
Last month, John filed a lawsuit against Shannon, accusing her of failing to repay $75,000 borrowed for a facelift following their separation. He further highlighted her financial difficulties, countering her portrayed affluence on RHOC by alleging she was “struggling” financially in early 2022 when she supposedly sought the money for the cosmetic procedure.
John claims he transferred $40,000 to Shannon on January 24, 2022, and issued an additional check for $35,000 on May 20, 2023. He is pursuing legal action against her for “breach of oral contract and promissory fraud,” seeking the repayment of the $75,000 he alleges Shannon borrowed for her surgery.
The Real Housewives of Orange County star expressed her surprise and dismay regarding the lawsuit.
