John Mayer CLAPS BACK: Denies Threesome Rumors With Scheana Shay – ‘Never Happened’
John Mayer is not happy that Scheana Shay keeps suggesting that they once shared a fling, according to a U.S. Sun report.
An insider told the outlet that the singer never hooked up with the Vanderpump Rules star, despite her dropping hints to the contrary during a recent episode of the Bravo series.
“John has told several people close to him that he never hooked up with Scheana,” the source dished earlier this week.
The tipster added — “He knows that she has been telling people they hooked up well before the ‘Vanderpump Rules’ episode aired and it’s gotten back to him. He’s very annoyed by the entire thing and wants nothing to do with her.”
The insider also claimed that the 46-year-old artist tried to “avoid” the reality star when they crossed paths at a recent party.
“Scheana and John were even at a party not long ago where Andy Cohen also turned up and he tried his best to avoid Scheana,” the source said.
“She was trying her best to talk to John and even go as far as take a picture with him, but he shot her down,” the snitch alleged.
Shay insinuated that she had participated in an orgy with the “Gravity” singer, while playing a game of “Never Have I Ever” with her co-stars.
Shay alleged — “It was with an A-list celebrity.”
Shay, 38, didn’t give up the A-lister’s identity but teased — “Once upon a time, my body was a wonderland,” repeating a line from one of Mayer’s biggest hits.
The reality star also referenced her supposed romantic past with Mayer back in 2020, during an appearance on the “Flashbacks” podcast. She claimed that she first met the singer when he was with his then-girlfriend, Jennifer Anniston.
“I’m working this party. I end up getting wasted with them,” she recalled. “Every time they did a shot, they would get me a shot.”
The Pump Rules star claimed that she began dating Mayer after his split from the actress. Mayer and the “Friends” star were together from 2008-2009.
“I was living with [‘The Hills’ alum Stacie Adams] at the time,” Shay said. “This went on for about six months. … It just became, you know, kind of the three of us. We had a little throuple going on.“
The Bravo star said that during the “sexual” gatherings everyone “always had attention,” but she became “jealous” of Stacie because Mayer supposedly “liked her” more.
Shay wed Brock Davies in August 2022, in Cancun, Mexico. They welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Summer Moon, in April 2021.
