Selling Sunset alum Christine Quinn has levied serious allegations against her estranged husband, claiming he staged a suicide attempt to ‘test’ her love, just months prior to his arrest.

This revelation came to light through a report by RadarOnline.com, which also noted that Quinn recently sought a temporary restraining order against Christian Dumontet.

According to court documents, Quinn described a harrowing incident during a trip to Hungary six months prior. She recounted how Dumontet seemingly overdosed on pills in her presence, an act she believes was staged to gauge her reaction.

In her legal filing, Quinn detailed a troubling episode from September 2023, where she claimed her husband faked a suicide attempt to test her concern for him. She stated, “On another occasion in September 2023, Respondent faked a suicide attempt to see if I cared about him. At the time we were traveling abroad. Respondent was staying in Hungary, and I was in Paris for Fashion Week. The day after I flew in from Paris to join Respondent in Hungary, Respondent became angry at me, questioning why I needed to work, asserting that he was providing for everything.” Quinn provided a vivid account of the alarming sequence of events that allegedly followed.

“That night, in our hotel room, I watched Respondent pour handfuls of pills into appear to shove them into his mouth, with pills flying out of his hands and spilling on the floor, and then tell me he was dying,” she claimed.

“When I asked him what he wanted me to do, he told me ‘just stay with me.’ When I asked him what pills he took and how many, so I could help him, he just told me he took many other pills that day,” Quinn continued.

Quinn recounted her first-ever visit to Hungary, expressing her panic and confusion during the incident, as she was unfamiliar with how to contact emergency services in the country. She described feeling “terrified” at the possibility that Dumontet might have poisoned himself.

According to Quinn, her estranged husband was “falling in and out of consciousness” during an ordeal that seemed to her to last “what felt like an hour.”

Quinn reported a sudden shift in Dumontet’s condition, stating that “he suddenly appeared sober again and said, ‘You passed the test, you really do love me.'” She expressed her shock upon understanding that he had allegedly “faked the whole thing,” leading to her growing fear of Dumontet and apprehension about “what else he could potentially do.”

Quinn told RadarOnline.com that her ex’s mental health has “severely deteriorated,” over the past half a year.

In her statement, Quinn detailed the abusive dynamics of her marriage, highlighting a decline in Dumontet’s mental health and behavior over the past six months. She described an incident where Dumontet experienced a mental breakdown, becoming delusional, disoriented, and seemingly hallucinatory. During this episode, he did not recognize her and, believing she was an imposter, physically attacked her, resulting in scratches. Quinn recounted spending two hours attempting to calm him down to prevent any harm to their child, emphasizing the severity of the situation and the potential risk to their family.

Quinn accused him of physical violence during a dispute, where he allegedly hurled a bag containing glass at her. This altercation reportedly resulted in their child being struck and subsequently hospitalized. Following this incident, Dumontet faced arrest under charges of assault with a deadly weapon, classified as a felony.

He secured release from jail at 6:17 PM the following day, after posting a bail of $30,000. This occurred shortly after Quinn was granted an emergency protective order, intended to safeguard her and their son from Dumontet for a period of seven days.

Dumontet faced arrest again at 11:30 PM on the subsequent Wednesday for breaching the protective order by appearing at their Los Angeles home. Following this, Quinn submitted legal filings requesting that Dumontet be mandated to maintain a distance of 100 yards from her, their son, the nanny, and her two dogs.

Quinn’s demands extend beyond restraining orders. She seeks financial support from Dumontet, including coverage of utility bills, half of the nanny’s monthly expenses, child and spousal support, her legal fees, among other financial responsibilities.

Quinn requested the court to instruct her husband to stop monitoring her activities, including accessing her iCloud and financial accounts, as well as remotely controlling systems linked to their smart home.

In response, Dumontet also sought legal protection, submitting a request for a restraining order against Quinn. The decision on both restraining order applications is still pending from the judge.
