Wendy Williams’ Son Faces Eviction for Unpaid Rent Amid Mother’s SHADY Guardianship

Wendy Williams son, Kevin Hunter Jr., was slammed with an eviction notice on his posh Miami apartment, over missed rent payments.

Hunter, who was cut off from the former talk show host’s cash after she was placed in a court-ordered guardianship, received the eviction notice on his luxury digs last month, The U.S. Sun reports.

The 23-year-old spoke out about his situation in the Lifetime docuseries, “Where is Wendy Williams?” which aired on February 25.

On February 6, the Monday after the documentary’s premiere, Hunter, who served as an executive producer on the project, was served eviction papers after allegedly missing rent payments.

The documents stated — “This is an action to evict the tenant from the premises.”

The notice alleged that Hunter, who signed the lease in November, did not pay rent for the month of February and owed a total $4,317.08. The lease agreement stated that his monthly rent was $3,731.

The matter was reportedly resolved a month later, as the lawyer repping the building filled a notice to dismiss the case in early March.

This wasn’t the first time that Hunter had been served eviction papers over unpaid rent. The first eviction came after his famous mom was cut off from her funds and placed in a financial guardianship.

In 2022, Wells Fargo froze Wendy’s bank accounts and filed a petition for temporary guardianship, arguing that she was the “victim of undue influence and financial exploitation,” according to her former attorney, LaShawn Thomas.

Wendy has repeatedly voiced her objections to the ongoing guardianship.

“As the lease approached the end, my mom went through some health issues that put the court in control of her finances,” Hunter said in court documents in February 2022.

Hunter has had to simplify his life since living in the lap of luxury only a few years ago. He currently drives a 2019 Honda Civic while attending Barry University full-time. He reportedly makes extra cash by promoting and hosting parties in the area. He is supported by a 529 account set in place by the once-popular daytime star.

Hunter shocked fans when he spoke about using his mother’s credit cards during the Lifetime documentary.

“When my mom was living down here, as one can imagine, it’s not a cheap lifestyle,” he explained. “The courts tried to frame it as though I was making all these charges for my own happiness.”

“My mom has never been a cheap person so whether it be flying her back and forth on private planes or even paying for appointments,” he told cameras. “It was all under one American Express.”

Wendy’s nephew, Travis Finnie, dished that his cousin spent over $100k on food delivery apps.

“To put it into perspective, Kevin’s birthday party that his mom threw was $120,000,” Finnie explained. “Kevin’s rent was $80,000. Kevin’s Uber Eats probably exceeded $100,000 that his mom approves.”

He added — “So for them to have a court case and ripping him away from taking care of his mother is very questionable.”

Kevin is currently unsure of his mother’s whereabouts, as she receives  treatment for health and addiction issues. In February, Wendy’s team disclosed that she had been diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia.

Kevin has spoken to his mom occasionally, and he knows she’s in some sort of treatment facility, but he’s not sure exactly what it is, or where it is,” a source told the U.S. Sun.

Wendy is able to call her son from the treatment facility, but Hunter is not allowed to initiate communication.
