Candiace Dillard’s time is up as Bravo has decided to parts ways with the contentious diva after her six-season tenure on the show.

Candiace Dillard ceremoniously announced her departure from The Real Housewives of Potomac amid declining. The Bravolebrity, who became a part of the show in its third season, expressed that her decision to leave comes amidst “a whirlwind of new opportunities.”

“This is not a farewell, but a ‘see you later,'” she shared with People on Monday.

Reflecting on her time with the show, Dillard Bassett remarked:

“As I embark on a new chapter after six remarkable years with ‘The Real Housewives of Potomac,’ I am filled with gratitude for the enriching friendships, personal growth, and moments of introspection that have defined this journey. With … new responsibilities on my plate, I have decided to take a break from RHOP.”

She also extended her appreciation to her supporters, acknowledging them as her “guiding light.”

Candiace, 37, further expressed her anticipation for future endeavors, stating”

“I look forward to the exciting adventures that lie ahead — and more importantly, sharing them all with you.”

Her departure coincides with reports that Robyn Dixon, an original cast member of the show, is also leaving, as per information from the Jasmine Brand.

Candiace has had her share of conflicts with fellow cast members, including Gizelle Bryant and Dixon. The future of their relationships, particularly whether they managed to mend their friendships during the anticipated Season 8 reunion, is still uncertain.

Andy Cohen himself expressed his desire for reconciliation among them, indicating a hope that they could find common ground.

“The flaw of this season is that there are women who aren’t able to find any common ground with some of the other women, so there are all these pockets of women that just won’t even acknowledge each other — which is not a recipe for, you know, [good TV],” the Watch What Happens Live host said on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live earlier this month.

Cohen elaborated on the essence of the ‘Housewives’ series, emphasizing the importance of progression and resolution. “One of the hallmarks of the ‘Housewives’ is finding a way to move forward. And so, that was kind of the directive of the RHOP reunion,” he stated.

Before her stint on Real Housewives of PotomacCandiace, known for her single “Drive Back,” worked in the White House Offices of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs during the tenure of former President Barack Obama.
