RHOP: Candiace Dillard Slams NeNe Leakes Double Date With Simon Guobadia “Nasty Work”
Real Housewives of Potomac star Candiace Dillard has had a lackluster season on the Bravo reality series marked by discussions of being marginalized by the cast and her revelation of having an exit plan.
In a recent interview, she delved into the ongoing feud between NeNe Leakes and Porsha Williams, as well as addressed Robyn Dixon sharing text messages with bloggers.
Providing context, NeNe recently alleged that Porsha refused to collaborate with her on a Netflix project. Then, NeNe went on a double date alongside Porsha’s estranged husband, Simon Guobadia, and his new girlfriend.
During an appearance on Way Up With Angela Yee, Candiace addressed the matter, stating, “So I was actually approached for this same role. I was in LA when I got the call, and then I was sort of waiting around to see if they were gonna call me, and they never did, so I went home.”
She added, “Kenya, I also heard was approached for this same role. So they were just reaching out to all the acting housewives, and it went to NeNe and Porsha.”
Candiace proceeded to offer her perspective on the ongoing drama between Porsha and NeNe. In essence, she believes that Porsha simply doesn’t view NeNe as someone she desires to collaborate with professionally.
She articulated, “NeNe was looking at their friendship and conflicting that with a working relationship. Clearly, Porsha is fine to kiki and break bread with you and have drinks with you, but she doesn’t see you as someone she wants to work with. Those are two different relationships.”
When Angela broached the topic of NeNe being spotted with Simon — Candiace remarked, “That’s nasty work.”
The conversation shifted towards Robyn sharing text messages exchanged between herself and Candiace with a blogger.
She questions, “Why did she do that? And then not owning it is the part that I’m confused by.”
She notes, “And this blogger has since exposed himself as somewhat of a colorist, so it’s interesting that she is choosing to align herself with someone like that.”

Ironically, Candiace has suddenly reversed her stance on Robyn Dixon being labeled as a colorist.
As fans of the show are aware, Candiace had previously portrayed Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon as being colorist, suggesting that their feud with her was rooted in racial biases.
However, the true cause of their falling out was revealed to stem from Gizelle accusing Candiace’s caucasian husband, Chris Bassett, of making her feel uncomfortable during a private exchange in her dressing room during a previous reunion.
