Lala Kent Throws Shade at Ex Randall Emmett Following Decision to Use Sperm Donor for Second Baby

Lala Kent tossed shade at her ex-fiancé, Randall Emmett, while chatting with fans about her pregnancy during a Tuesday Amazon Live session. The Vanderpump Rules star explained why she decided to use a sperm donor to conceive her second child during the livestream.

“The best part about my baby daddy is that he does not exist. I have been pretty open about wanting to really have full control of — I guess not my child, but having them around me all the time,” the Bravo star said on Tuesday.   

The 33-year-old acknowledged that she “went through a really hard time” after splitting from the film producer, in October 2021. She added that it had been difficult to co-parent their 3-year-old daughter, Ocean, with her ex. 

“I will say, my heart will always be up for grabs. I believe in love. I know that I will find love again, but for me, my child will never be up for grabs again,” she explained. “I don’t want to share my child again. It’s something that I’ve experienced, and I refuse to experience it again.”

The “Give Them Lala” podcast host shared that while she “never expected” to be raising her children as a single mom, both her mom and her brother have been nearby for help and support. 

“I always say I’m raising my daughter Ocean, and I’ll be raising this new baby with my mom. My mom is a tremendous help, and she helps co-parent,” she said.

Lala shaded Emmett, 52, as she continued to describe her unconventional family dynamic. 

“It may not look normal to most people, but Ocean and this child, they’re going to be surrounded by so much love, and I think that the word ‘dad’ is an honor and a privilege, and that word is not just something that should be handed out,” she said.

“There are so many men in Ocean’s life that will be in this baby’s life that truly have taken on the role of a dad.”

The reality star took to Instagram Sunday to announce that she was pregnant with her second child.

“I’m expanding my pod,” she captioned a black and white shot of Ocean checking out her mom’s bare baby bump. 

Past and present “Vanderpump Rules” personalities congratulated Lala in the post’s comment section, as did Emmett’s ex-wife, Ambyr Childers. Emmett and Childers share two daughters together. 

Lala broke off her three-year engagement to Emmett after he was allegedly caught cheating on her while out of town. The exes have since been battling over custody of their daughter.
