Mauricio Umansky Explains How Kyle Richards Ruined their Marriage!

The upcoming season of Buying Beverly Hills will follow the aftermath of Mauricio Umansky’s split from Kyle Richards. 

A Bravo fan account posted the Season 2 trailer on Sunday, which featured Mauricio, 53, revealing that it was the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star who wanted to part ways. 

“She wanted the separation,” Mauricio tells a friend, before the clip shifts to the real estate mogul addressing a group at a company event. 

 

He said — “The Agency being a large family — just like every family — there’s conflict.” 

Kyle, 55, is also featured discussing the family shift with the estranged couple’s children. 

“We wanted to have this conversation together for obvious reasons. I’m really sorry you guys,” the Bravo star says. 

Kyle and Mauricio, who share daughters, Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15, addressed their marital issues during the recently concluded RHOBH Season 13. The topic is expected to be further discussed on the upcoming season of “Buying Beverly Hills,” as well as on the upcoming RHOBH reunion series. 

Kyle and Mauricio confirmed their separation in July of last year. The duo denied that infidelity played a part in their decision, but Kyle hinted otherwise as Season 13 wrapped, earlier this month. 

“Any claims regarding us divorcing are untrue. However, yes, we have had a rough year,” the pair’s Instagram statement read. “The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously. There has been no wrongdoing on anyone’s part. Although we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to work through our issues privately. While it may be entertaining to speculate, please do not create false stories to fit a further salacious narrative. Thank you for the love and support. Kyle & Mauricio.”

Kyle teased that an insurmountable trust issue was at the center of the breakup, during the February 21 RHOBH finale episode. 

“There were things that happened that made me lose my trust that I wasn’t able to recover from,” Kyle said. “It just felt like my whole life was over in that moment. The life as I knew it.”

Mauricio tells his daughters in the “Buying Beverly Hills” preview — “I had an amazing 26 years with your mom. An amazing 26 years. I wanted to do everything possible to just save it. So your mom came and she talked to me. And she said, ‘I think I need space.’”

He continued: “She said to me, ‘Listen, the rules are that you go out, you date, you do whatever it is you want to do. I’m not going to be asking you what you’re doing. I don’t want you to be asking me what I’m doing. Like we are separated.’”

Kyle’s suspiciously cozy friendship with country singer, Morgan Wade, sparked a flood of rumors in the wake of the confirmed split. The reality star has repeatedly denied that the pair shares anything more than a friendship.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion begins on Wednesday at 8 pm ET on Bravo. Buying Beverly Hills Season 2 premieres March 22 on Netflix.
